The Realm of Hybrid

Chapter 4: Eyes of the Forest

*Three days later after all that moving into the Hybrid Realm.*

I was walking down a small dirt pathway into the forest along with my partner and friend, Robee. Crystal flowers were along the path even the trees standing so tall like a confident prideful being. Then it reach towards a dead end.

"Mya, this is your first task." Robee says. "Try to find a way to extend the path." I don't know. I close my eyes. Wait a sec. If the Realm of Hybrid is for the free and justice, this can mean I can choose and follow my own path. "I get it!" I declared. "Follow my own path!" Then the dirt path began to appear. "Nice job. Let's keep going." Robee replies. We started walking on the extended path.

There was a river with totems taller than the water. "Here is taking the right step course. Wrong step, you fall in and your dress will become a babing suit." Robee says. I laughed a bit.

I took a big breath and make one leap. I hit the totem. "Good job, keep going." Robee commented. I try not to get distracted by it. I leap onto another that's the same height as the totem I am standing on. The river sounds relaxes me. To ease my fear of messing up. "Don't be afraid, girl." Annie Blue's saying repeat in my mind again. I leap onto the small height totem. "Three totems left, Mya. You are doing great." Robee commented again. I smiled that it was almost over. I leaped again onto a taller one. Next totem is very short and then the cliff of the path. I jumped on the very short totem. Water was below me flowing. I need to take a big jump to be able to get over that cliff. It's taller than this short totem which I am standing on.

I took a deep breath. "You can do this." I tell myself. I bend my knees and leaped and the edge of the cliff hit my stomach. I began to slide down. "No, no, no!" I said outloud.

Now I am hanging onto the edge of the cliff.

"Mya!" Robee calls out. "The end is mostly the hardest step of the path. You must stay strong!" I took a deep breath. "Mya, come on, you can do this!" I encourage myself. I hold my breath and used my foot to dig into the dirt of the cliff. I use my force of my body to climb and lift. I still hold my breath and let out a groan. I lift my feet up from the cliff on to the path. I let myself breathe once again.

"Not bad for a Patriot." Robee flies behind me. I looked at him. I gave him the brow look. "Patriot is a rookie or a runneroff in Hybrid. Hawk is the next rank. They know all the paths and know the Hybrid very well. Eagle and this is my rank. Eagles know the truth and wanted to spread it because they know mostly everything Hybrid. They are granted with the power of flying even wings. Hybrid is the highest rank of all. Stronger than the Brooks. They can turn into a Hybrid and have lot of power. It takes a while to achieve that. I've been here for a decade. I'll probably be there in a year or two." Robee replies. "Another thing learned everyday." I replied. I got up back on my feet and brush the dirt off my dress.

Then the wind started to blow behind the top of the trees. I can hear the birds screaming a bit. "What's going on?" I ask Robee. He looks around and we saw Annie Blue going above the trees. "Annie, what do you see?" Robee asks. She looks down. "Brooks! Get back to the shelter!" She replies. Robee than lift me up from my legs and feet. He began flying off. "The Eyes of the forest picked up something. They are seeing Brooks coming. We must take shelter now otheriwse we will be takened then sent down the third path to die." Robee replies.

The people called upon the Brooks to find me.

He lowered me down to the ground near the tree. "Hurry!" He says. The wind was blowing faster. "They're coming!" I opened up the secret entrance. I enter and climb down the ladder. Robee shut the secret entrance door behind me. It was dark above. I've then enter the Blooming Room. I smiled. One of the most favorite rooms in the underground tree house. "We need to wait for a day." Robee says. "No, she'll be caught!" Annie appears from a sudden blue mist. "They are searching for Mya. She ran away yesterday and her family called upon the Brooks to find her in the Hybrid. We must wait for three days until they finally gave up searching." Annie says. "Okay, we wait for three days then." Robee replies.

I walked out the Blooming Room enter the hallway that my room is in. I entered. "Great job, parents, for calling the Brooks upon me. I was enjoying nature itself." I rolled my eyes when I collapsed down on my circling bed. "Now, I need to wait for three days or more." Then my mind began to shapeshift to the Eyes of the Forest. The forest has sensations and it can see. The Hybrids must've made the forest that way. It'll alert us if the Brooks are coming or a army of people who like the Brooks coming our way to raid. This will give us enough time to hide and prepare.

I shuffle myself under the blankets and relax back down. I am learning faster than I ever I did at Brooks even ProBrook. I am in the school of nature and spirit. Nature's Reika tells you something like it's feeling. Everything has feelings like the Hybrids and nature. However, Brooks don't have feelings. They are cold, cruel, and fibber. People are blinded by the spell. The Brooks look like grey birds as disguise. They look like black creatures with wings.

Minutes ago, Robee told me the ranking system of Hybrid. Patriot is newcomer or rookie. Hawk is know it all. Eagle is risen. Hybrid is beyond all. Right now, I am a Patriot getting used to The Realm of Hybrid. Soon, in my lifetime, I will reach the stars and become a Hybrid among with Annie Blue and Robee Glinde.
