~♥The Chase♥~
~♥~~Warning: vile language ahead. If you are sensitive to curse words....sorry. Guess you'll have to deal.
What is with these people? I show them a little magic trick and they decide to sharpen their pitchforks, light their torches, and hunt me down. I'm speaking hypothetically. It's the 21st century. They don't do that anymore. But they were not happy, I'll tell you that much.
I'm trying every spell I know to either get away from them or keep them distracted. Apparently, some humans aren't as dense as they used to be. And I'm getting exhausted. I'm short okay? I have small legs and running isn't an option anymore. I huffed in annoyance and decided to go with my last resort.Mt. Ebott
No one came back alive from that place. Well, none that I've known. And I'm absolutely, guaranteeing you, 100% positive that they will not follow me up there. What, with the blistering cold and the steep climb. So I make a break for the mountain. And, as expected, they followed me, yelling every curse word they could come up with. I just rolled my eyes, having heard this all before.
As I went even higher up the mountain, it was getting colder and colder. The humans had fallen way behind cause they couldn't take the conditions like I can and eventually turned back and went home. But even the cold is becoming too unbearable for me. So I started thinking and thinking until an idea burrowed it's way into my mind. 'I'll transform into something that doesn't feel cold' I thought and concentrated.~A good 5 minutes later~
The transformation was complete. I was now a skeleton. Skeletons don't have skin, therefore no nerves. If they have no nerves, they can't feel cold. Or heat. Or anything. I know what you're thinking.
'Couldn't you have just transformed into something with fur or fire or something?'
Well yes but animals still feel cold and fire would just blow out. I went the whole way. Full fucking skeleton. I don't feel cold and I can continue without any problems.
"Oh shit!"
I spoke too soon. I had lost my footing and was plummeting into a dark hole. Well it's not my fault I couldn't see five inches in front of my face through that blizzard. And I don't look at the ground when I walk. I blame the mountain. It's the mountain's fault.
*THUD*
My skeletal body collapsed into boney pieces. My little white pinprick pupils looked at the pieces. "Man, I need to pull myself together. This is RIBdiculous." I laugh at my own skeleton puns and use my magic to put myself back together. When I'm sure all bones are in the right place and accounted for, I take in the scenery. Well there's not much to take in. Just a dark cave, a branching hallway, the hole I fell through, and some yellow flowers that broke my fall. I chuckle to myself and sigh.
"Well there's no other way but forward, I suppose."
