Chapter Five

Sadie POV

Today is the last day at the Lake. Justin says that he has a surprise for me. He woke me up this morning by jumping on my bed with Bo. I was sleeping away the day when I felt the bed sink in and people jumping on the bed.

At first I thought I was imagining it, but then I felt lips press to my cheek and I realized that it wasn't a dream. I opened my eyes to find another pair of eyes staring at me.

"Good afternoon." Justin kisses my nose. "Now get your lazy butt up, I have a special surprise for you before we have to leave."

"Oh yeah." I purse my lips. I didn’t even realize that the other person that came in here with Justin, had left. I look at the clock to see it's a little past three. I slept really late today.

We both sit up from the bed. I walk over to my walk-in-closet and open the door.

"So what should I wear on this surprise date?" I ask from inside the closet.

I pull off my top and shorts. "Well, nothing to fancy. Wear what you want, Firecracker."

I nod my head, but he can't see because he's not in the closet with me. I decide to wear a baby blue sundress. I slip on my black sandals and walk out of the closet and go to the bathroom. I can feel Justin's eyes on me.

I brush my teeth and put my hair up. I put on a little make-up and walk out.

"W-wow." Justin looks me over and I feel my cheeks redden.

"You look beautiful, Firecracker." He walks over to me. I look up and stare into his eyes. He cups my cheek with his hand and rubs it with his thumb. I put my hand over his and kiss the palm of his hand.

"W-we should-d really g-get going." Justin stutters. I laugh and peck him on the lips before pulling him out of my room.

--------------------------------

"So how long will you be gone? We leave at ten tomorrow." Mom asks when we are in the kitchen. Dad is sitting at the table drinking his coffee and reading the newspaper while Mom is making eggs and bacon for Dad.

"We'll be back just before we leave, Mrs. Johnson." Justin says politely.

"I've told you many times, Justin, call me Bethany. And we will see you when you get back from your little date." Mom says.

"Bye Mom. Bye Dad." I say as Justin leads the way.

"Don't do anything we wouldn't do!" Mom yells as the door closes.

I slap my hand to my face in embarrassment. Justin laughs as he clutches my hand tighter. Brandon walks up to us from the beach and nods to Justin.

"Headin out?" We both nod. "I'll see ya later than, lil sis."

We start to walk away, but then I hear him again. "Use protection!"

"Ugh! Why do they always do this to me!?" I say while blushing like crazy.

"Hey, hey, hey."Justin stops us and faces me. "We don't have to do that if you don't want to. I wouldn't really mind if you said you weren't ready...." He trails off, scratching his neck and looking down.

"It's okay, really. To be honest, I'm not ready." I say, trying to shake off the subject.

"How about we forget this ever happened and go on our date. When we are ready, we'll do it. But for now, let's enjoy our last day at the Lake." I smile at his kind words.
