When Marv left he hadn't locked the door behind him. So I walked around a little bit, making sure to avoid Jay's room. I only know where it is because Marv stopped and looked in for a quick sec. When I heard what I assumed to be Jin shouting his "hate" of Marv I stopped and put my back against a wall. I had no idea where they were so I figured I'd wait. Then I heard Jay leave his room so I peeked and followed him. I felt so ninja! Ha.
I stopped outside the door and leaned against the wall. I wasn't really paying attention until I heard my name. Something about a room? Jay said something about where...then Jin. "Close to dat guy. It's kinda obvious she's more comfortable around him." I thought about that for a minute. Yeah, it's true. I am more comfortable arounf Marv. He was like the older brother I never saw. I shrugged to myself and paid attention to thier conversation again.
"She was everything to me dude. Even if she didn't know it." The three of them were quiet for what felt like a long time. When Jay spoke I let out a long breath, not realizing I'd been holding it. "WAIT A SECOND. You LOVED her?!" I couldn't see what was happening but I heard Marv sigh. I guess he nodded or something because then Jin spoke up. "Why didn't you say anything dude? She obviously had a thing for you!" I heard a kind of slap then Marv. "I knooow. But...I don't know. It just didn't seem like it would've worked." I shook my head and walked back to the den.
I thought guys were supposed to have balls and ask out the girl. What girl ever asks the guy? I guess it depends on the situation...but still.
I was grateful I'd left when I did because right after I'd sat back down on the couch, all three of them walked in. Jay came in first and waved, as I waved back Marv did the whole I'm-cool-so-I'm-just-gonna-jerk-my-chin-at-you thing. I did it back to him and stood to meet Jin.
"You must be Ronnie. I'm Jin." I kinda smiled at him and waved. He just looked at me and I waited. After a while, Marv looked down at him. "Jin. Are you being quiet so you don't insult her?" Jay held in a laugh as Jin glared up at Marv. "I hate that you know me so well. But yes." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "Dude. If you have something to say, spit it out. Don't hold back just because I'm a girl." Jin looked at me with surprise then quickly composed himself. "Alright. You're more quiet than I expected. And you talk funny. Like...someone from Boston or something."
I gave him a blank stare and Marv laughed. He clapped Jin on the shoulder and said, "Man, she shouldn't even be tested. Let's just have her join right now!" Jay started giggling as I looked back and forth between the three of them. "Join what?"
