(Hailey's POV)

Matthew. Matthew was laying on the bright green moss, eyes closed and struggling to breath. Like he was hanging on for dear life.
"Oh no!" I wisper to myself again. I have to help him. I need to help him. Mrs. Autumn runs trough the mosquito storm and sniffs at Matthew. But he shows no movement.

I need to find a way around these musquitos or I'll end up like him. I start running 'till I found an opening trouhg the thickly braided branches. I run trough it and turned left and there he is.

I run over to him and kneel down passing my fingers trough his messed up hair. He groans and open his eyes a little.

"Matthew! Hang on okay? I'm gonna help you." I say. Am I. Am I able to? You see, the mosquitos I was talking about weren't the normal annoying musquitos that buzz around your ear. No, these were forest mosquitos. They come up to you in a group and no matter how much you wave your hand, they're not going to leave. And when they attack you they suck 15% more blood than normal musquitos. They also have this venom in their seliva that affects your lungs and closes you airways.

They are deadly.

And they got the best of Matthew.

I tried to turn him on his back but I didn't wanna hurt him. When I finally acomplished my goal, he was doing worse than before.
Oh God help me I thought.

I put his head on my lap and started "petting" his cheeks and hair. That seemed to calm him down a bit making him breathe easier.

He opened his eyes and looked at me.
"Take my phone and tell my mom I love her." His voice was very hoarse and I coald barely hear him.

"No Matthew. You're not dying today. They'll think I killed you. I know how to make you better. I've been through this before. You just gotta trust me okay?"

He gave me a small nod.

"We are gonna have to get up." I barely finished my sentence and he let's out a quite but sharp No.

"Well do you think you can wait here for me while I go get some things?"

He winced but then nodded.

"Okay I'll be right back." I say standing up. "Hang in there Matthew!" I shout before taking off. I run back to the cabin following the same path. When I reach the cabin I quickly ran into the kitchen, grabbed a cup then ran outside and grabbed my sleigh. I hurried back to Matthew and on my way there I filled the cup with water from the stream. Matthew was still lying down, but his breathing got worse. I sit down next to him and put his head in my arms. I grab the cup and put it on his lips. He slowly starts to sip the water. And then he gulps it all down in a matter of seconds.
I help him sit somewhat straight even though it didn't really work.

"Listen Matthew. I brought a sleigh and I'm gonna put you on there. But I need a little help from you okay?" I say.

He looks at me with lifeless eyes and slowly nods. I pull the sleigh towards me and stand up. I put my arms under Matthews armpits and pul him up. You see, living in the woods make you pretty strong. Putting Matthew on the sleigh wasn't too hard. I barely needed his help. When he was lying on the sleigh, secured, I started pulling him to my cabin. And it wasn't easy. There were alot of hills and stones but we finally made it. And he got even worse than before. His face was red and with every breath I could hear sound like a creaking door coming from his troath. I quickly put him on the couch and ran back outside to get ingredients for the medicine.
