After we ate our food the older dude comes into the café.
"Good day everyone." he starts "I see you've met Hailey. She's the last one. Be sure to make her feel welcome. In a week we will be flying to Italy. We will meet some very important people there and you will receive further information in the next three days. You may go and do something for yourselves."
With those words he leaves the room and I have yet to take in his words.
Italy?!
I love that place! I've never been there but that doesn't matter. Suddenly I become super excited, not worrying about the very weird situation I'm in right now. Matthew pulls me out of my thoughts.
"Let me show you around." He says standing up and leaving his plates on the table.
"Don't we have to clean up?" I ask.
"No. We have duties. Today it's Penelope and Logans turn." He says and we walk out of the cafe.
"First I'll show you outside. It's my favorite part and probably will be yours too."
We walk outside and he was right. I can already tell that this is going to be my favorite spot. We are in a huge backyard with tall trees that look like a forest which makes me feel homesick but I quickly push that feeling aside. I mean I'll be going home soon so there's nothing to worry about. As we walk further into the garden I see a fountain.
"If you wake up early enough, you'll be able to see the birds taking a bath in here. But of course no one wakes up at 6 AM to look at some birds." Matt informs me.
You have yet to get to know me, buddy.
After the tour we go back inside. Matt then shows me all the rooms of the others and the places that I need to know about. He then walks me back to my room.
Before he leaves I ask him a question.
"When do I go back?"
"What do you mean?" He answers me looking slightly confused.
"When do I go back? Like, when do I return home?"
"Hailey. I don't think you understand. You're not going back. This is your home."
