(Hailey's POV)

I managed to get down safely. I walk towards the happening and stand behind one of the many trees. I could see Matt and the lion. It was a male. Now that I'm standing here I realize something. Matt's face was different. His eyebrows were frowning and his eyes, they were electric blue. I took a look at the lion and he wasn't normal looking either. He kept showing the whites of his eyes.

I was about to say Matthew's name when I suddenly felt a fizzing feeling in my chest area. There wasn't really a way to describe it. It kind of really threw me off, making me fall back with a loud thud. I'm pretty sure they heard me because Matt immediatly turned his face my way. His eyes went back to their normal light brown color. He stood up so fast it made me dizzy.

"H-how long have you b-been standing there?" He asked with the same familiar fear in his eyes.

"Umm, for a while?" I say more like a question.

"Did you see me...uhh, see me do that?" He asks nervously.

"Yes Matt I did. I saw everything and I would appreciate it if you could explain to me what I saw." I say as I walk towards him.

"Oh Hailey swear that you will never tell anyone what you just saw. Please!" He says with pleading eyes.

"Okay I won't. Unless you tell me what that was." I say threatening him. I wasn't gonna let him get away with it like that. He's gonna have to start speaking soon.

"Can we go to the cabin?" Matt asks.

"Sure."

As we were walking I was wondering what he was gonna say. We reached my cabin and he opened the door for me. We both sit on the couch and face each other.

"So..?" I start.

"This might sound very weird or unbelievable but it's true."

"What is?" I was very curious.

"I-uhh, I have super powers."

There was a long pause. I wasn't surprised but I surely didn't see it coming. Okay maybe I did. But I was still shocked.

"Okay...and what do you do exactly?"

"Well, as you already saw, I can reboot animals and communicate with them. I can also send electric shocks from my hands and I can turn my saliva into acid."

I just stared at him, my jaw nearly touching the floor.
Electric shocks? Acid spit?
Wait. Then what was he doing here?

"So I'm guessing you aren't really a photographer?" I ask Matt.

"Umm...well no. But I do enjoy taking pictures. So I didn't exactly lie."

"Then why are you here?" I'm getting slightly suspicious. If he wasn't here to take pictures, then what is he here for?

"To take pictures. I'm not a photographer but I do enjoy taking pictures." He repeats. But this time his voice had a tinge of nervousness in it.

I decide to not ask further questions because I'm alone with him in a cabin in the woods and if he turns out to be a dangerous guy then no one would be able to help me. I am pretty scared I have to admit. There's something shady about Matt. I just can't put my finger on it.
