"darling what are you so afraid of?" he held her hands tight in his own. the warmth of his hands gradually heated her frozen fingertips. she shivered, but not from the bitter, ruthless blast of arctic air coming from the north. she trembled with fear.

"change," she answered, her voice raspy and barely audible.

"change is inevitable. it is one of the things in life that we cannot possibly avoid. you don't get to choose if you're going to change or not because it will happen either way. but the one thing that you can choose is what you change. you can control what you want to be changed. and whether it is changed for better or for worse. it's hard, I know, but it's more than worth it. I've been in your exact spot before. I was frazzled more than words could describe. but I chose what I wanted to change. it was my perspective on life. changing my perspective on life has been probably the greatest decision of my life. it was definitely not easy, and it definitely took some time, but I do not regret one bit of it. so take my word on this, and if you feel things are about to change, take control and change what you want. you have complete power over this and you have complete power over yourself. you can do anything if you put your heart and soul into it."
