Chapter 3:

Jacobs's POV:

"Grrrrrr"' I thought as looked at my now clean desk,that Mom had sorted for me.This Alpha shit is hard.I used to spend my Saturday nights with the lads,I used to be the player.Not anymore I'm the harsh Alpha.Dad said I'm doing well, so far we were friends with all of the packs.Still, I guess there's the big masquerade party to go to and I bet there's lots of chicks there.My mums always at me to find my mate and get the worthy Luna but I'm not sure if I'm ready for serious crap.Oh yeah and the other reason why I ain't bothered is cause well some,not many but some AkA my mum call me possessive what?.I mean its mine right? I don't have to share it if its mine.She says I'd batter hope my mates ugly,so no one would want her anyway.I know though deep down ,deep,deep,deep down I won't be able to control myself around her if anyone from my pack or any other touches her I'd knock them to hell and back.Thats like deep,deep,deep ,deep down though.

I look up at the clock.

"Hmmm" I thought,"better call the lads"

I was sat in the training ground watching as all of the men came in to greet me.

Dustin walked in with a bunch of others, they were all soaking.

"Hey man"he said

Dustin is my all time best mate ever,he's great for a laugh but also takes his work very seriously.Me and Dust were friends since we were little but his family moved away.He came back a few years ago and we like all the same things girls,footy,girls."'Hey man",I said,"enjoy yourself",I asked cocking my eyebrow.

''Water fight",is all he managed to say before the rest came in.

Luke,Jason and Cole came in first.followed by Joel, Tommy, jane,Pete, Mike, Lewis,Casey and Toby.

More followed in after.

"Right guys,we will do some training and then I need to do the prep for the upcoming events",I said in my Alpha tone.

We did some training that of course went in my favour.Jason my head fighter showed everyone defence techniques.My father had taught me everything as a child but I still joined in.I respected my pack members. Jason told everyone to get into pairs.I over heard mike saying he could take on the Alpha any day.I took my opportunity, "hey Mike ,how about we be partners?"

Mike smirked at his friends ,"sure", he said looking smug.

"Right guys,I want to have clean fights no killing", Jason spoke up,"go"


Mike jumped at me trying to catch me of guard but I was too quick,I caught him by his neck and threw him against the wall behind him.He wearily stood up aware of some eyes that had caught our little fight.His fist came flying at my face but I grabbed it and quickly spun him around by his arm.He slid against the floor.He was quick to stand up and came sprinting towards me I kneed him in the gut and then I grabbed his collar.By now all of the room was watching.

"Never underestimate your Alpha", I said in a meaning tone.I dropped him,and called everyone together.

"Right guys,as you well know we have the annual mates masquerade party coming up and aswell as vigilance for mates we need to keep an eye out for rouges.We also have a new member of the pack, Dustin's sister so watch out for her" I finish.

"Oh don't worry I'll look after her" ,Luke stated raising his eyebrow.

I heard a low growl come from Dustin,"if you want to keep that head of yours,Luke I'd keep your your mouth shut"

I smirked he could be just as possessive as me sometimes.

I was sat in the woods looking on at the horizon,I felt incomplete though almost empty inside.like a void that had to be filled.That was until I heard the most amazing thing I've ever heard.It was a giggle that's all it was a giggle but it sounded like bells at Christmas and birds in summer.It was beautiful ,all I wanted was to record it and put it on a constant repeat.I knew that giggle,That small five second giggle belonged to my mate.I jumped up looked around ,searching the woods until I heard my sister calling to me and it knocked me off my mates sent.I walked out of the forest royally pissed off whilst I was here with pixie my mate could be with another male my insides boiled.Pixie was stood there.

"What?", I spat

"Calm down jake,I just wanted to tell you I have the stuff you wanted",she said that and stalked off.

"OMG why does the world hate me?" I say throwing myself on the ground looking up at the sky above.
