CHAPTER 1 :great friends

Anxiety rushed through my bones.I couldn't wait to meet my new pack.
"The full moon pack", I say playing with the words as it rolls of my tongue.I couldn't wait to see dustin again. He only came to the special events now and again to see us,he is the beta of the full moon pack.I hadn't seen my own brother in what seems like a year.

My father used to be the beta of the pack in fact all of used to live down here.Until there was some....... Complications with mothers old pack.Let me tell you now dustin wasn't to pleased that we were leaving as he would have been in line for the beta position.My father is a kindly old man and let my brother move back out here when he finally came of age-16.He's been at it for 5 years now.

Me myself have just turned 18 and I am on my way to join the full moon pack-eeeeeeep or what!

'Hmmmpf' I sigh as I took one jet black curly piece of hair behind my ear.My hair is so annoying its black and ultra thick and ultra curly.I have blue eyes and a pale skin tone.IKR I sound like Snow White the way I'm going on.Im sort of privileged though because I'm not podgy neither am I too skinny I'm sort of in between.My father didn't believe in wasting sun so he used to take me out bike riding n stuff when I was younger-I guess I've got him to thank.

My father agreed to letting me join the pack because if you don't already know you are supposed to meet your mate when you turn 16 but mine obviously wasn't at my old pack so I'm doing some exploring.I've dreamt of finding my mate since I was a child.I'm in love with love itself.I read all these books about it but they only seem to spur me on to becoming a Elizabeth Bennett or a Juliet.

I look out of the foggy window-damn public transport.As the bus shudders to a halt.I see a small girl about my age climb aboard.She had a small frame with striking red hair cut into a pixie do.As she makes her way down the bus her eyes scanning her surroundings and then they fall upon the seat next to me.She walks right up to me and takes to seat.I sit there for quite some time until she brakes the silence.

"Where you heading?" she asks with her sweet voice smiling at me.

I give her a shifty look unsure of what to respond,until I notice her left eye slowly turning a golden colour showing me that she is too a child of the moon.

"The pack house" I respond

"Im new" I finally state.

"Well welcome",She says in a cheery voice "I'm heading there too,to run some errands for my brother".

After that we became best of friends.We sat that for what seemed likes ages just talking and leaning stuff about each other.Her name is coincidently Pixie and her brother is the Alpha of the pack and she is a mouth younger than me.We even started talking about mates.

"So......have you found your mate yet?" I ask interested.

"Errr no not yet but I can't wait to,it's my birthday soon!" she giggles but then her face drops and she turns to the floor.

"'Fact is,no matter who he is he won't be good enough.My brother is so possessive and arrogant that he would never accept him".

I felt a lump form in my throat,I tried to lighten the mood plus she looked a little bummed out.

"'I don't know I'd quite like a possessive mate,it'd make me feel special".

"I don't know' she sighed 'I'd be careful what you wish for",she said giving me a pointed look before we both erupted into a huge set of giggles.

We were still laughing when the bus shuddered to a halt at it's final destination-the pack house.I could just see my brother looking perplexed at me as tears of joy,hysteria and the finality of belonging seeps down my cheeks.
