Elisabeth grabbed Dracula's hand as they sat down to a meal of field mice with the twins. "Sweetie, I need to talk with you after dinner."
Dracula looked at Lis and nodded, his face smiling but his eyes showed disappointment. It seemed that he was starting to accept that his youngest little one may not be a vampire.
Elisabeth ate her mice and drank her wine glass of Blood Beaters Type O. I don't like it any more than he does but if she doesn't get her fangs she'll have to go to that school. He, and I, will just have to except it.
After their dinner the twins ran off to play with the wolf pups and Lis stopped Dracula before he could run off. "I told you I need to talk to you."
"So talk as we walk!" exclaimed Dracula as he pulled her to her feet and hugged her.
"Only if you listen." Lis pushed herself up on her tiptoes and kissed Dracula's lips. She then took half a step back from Dracula her hands still on his chest. "It's about Martha..."
Dracula groaned softly and grabbed her hands. "Honey Bat, we don't need to talk about this, do we?"
"Yes we do, Dracula." Elisabeth looked stern. "I love the idea of all of our children being vampire just like their father and their grandfathers... But it looks more like Martha is going to be a witch like her grandmother and me. There is this school I was looking at. I wanted to go to it as a child but I couldn't. It's all witches and wizards."
"What do you mean? I'm sure she'll get her fangs!"
"Dracula! Listen!" Lis said as they started down the hall hand in hand. "I'm not saying she won't ever get her fangs but we need a back-up plan. I didn't have enough education to teach her any spells and I didn't even get my fangs until I was 207. I always wanted better for my future children and I still want better for them now." Lis paused.
"I know, Honey Bat, but I don't want any of the children or you to leave. I almost lost Mavis once. I don't want to lose anyone."
They stopped in the middle of the deserted hall, a shrunken head trying to listen in on their conversation. Lis smiled sadly up at her husband. She reached up and put her arms around the back of his neck, pulling his head towards hers. She pressed her forehead to his. "I know what you mean. It can be hard to let go but she'd only be gone a few hours a day, like Dennis was before he got his fangs. Tomorrow we're going to the school. If you really don't like it I'll find something else."
"Alright." Dracula kissed Elisabeth's lips.
"That was so sweet!"
"Who's there?" yelled Lis and Dracula in unison.
Mavis switched from hovering in her bat form to her vampire form, her face blushing with one hand over her mouth. "Sorry... I was listening to your conversation."
"How much did you hear?" asked Lis. She was angry at Mavis for not announcing she was there. Being all lovey-dovey wasn't something she and Dracula did in front of most people.
"Not much. In fact only about the last few sentences but I saw you being all lovey-dovey. I wish Johnny was that sweet!" Mavis smiled.
Lis smiled back at the girl as Dennis and Johnny walked up. "Hello, boys."
Mavis spun around and said, in a rather loud voice, "I told you they were sweeter than us to each other in private! I win boys! I get your dessert!"
"Wait... what?" yelled Lis. She was extremely angry now. "You three made a bet about how sweet we are to each other!"
Mavis rubbed her neck. "Yeah... sorry...but you two are just both so rigid and uptight when you're in public."
Elisabeth took a deep breath and grabbed Dracula's hand. She squeezed it slightly and they turned away from Mavis, Johnny, and Dennis. They walked together to the main lobby before releasing each other's hands and straitening their capes.

The next day Elisabeth and Dracula sat within a circle with a bunch of mothers, all holding a giant parachute over the kids. Dracula obviously thought it was nuts but played along, as Martha laughed.
A little bit later all the kids were given small brooms that could fly about 2 feet above the ground. The mothers were on properly sized brooms either flying beside their little ones or up higher than their kids. Dracula started taking notes. Dracula was constantly taking notes while they were there. There was a music class where the kids banged on tiny instruments, a Swimming class, and a yoga class where the parents stretched with their kids.
Back at hotel, Dracula and Lis sat upon their bed while Martha was off playing with the wolf pups.
"I hate to say it, but I really kind of liked that place," said Dracula.
Lis smiled and leaned against Dracula's shoulder.
Dracula bent his neck so that his head was resting atop Lis's head. "You're really stressed. You really need a break. A vacation?"
"I really could never leave the children here. They need me way too much. I have got to go arrange supper." Lis quickly kissed Dracula before she left.
