It had been roughly 3 months since Annabeth had been discharged from the hospital. Percy knew something was up, she was acting funny at the cabin last week and now he was sitting on her bed in her College dorm with her legs in his lap it was taking a lot of self control to not confront her. If he knew anything about Annabeth he knew if she had a problem she'd come to him, eventually. Percy was beginning to question this however, it had been 3 months and it was obvious this problem hadn't just popped up.

'Can you pass my pencil case? It's in my desk drawer,' Annabeth asked without even looking up from her book. Again it took all of Percy's control not to sigh exasperatedly because of course he knew where her pencil case was, he practically lived here before her accident. Annabeth had been repeating all these things since the bathroom. Especially where the bathrooms were. But still he stretched across the room and just barely reached the drawer without disturbing Annabeth's legs.

He threw it over to her, it landed right next to her head, 'Hey, that was uncalled for,' Annabeth said sitting up to sit face-to-face with Percy, her short hair bobbing up and down slightly.

'Are you okay?' Percy questioned concern creeping into his voice. He watched as Annabeth's eyebrows furrowed slightly, she bit her lip slightly before replying. A tell tale sign that something was off or wrong. Percy kept that to himself.

'No? Nothings wrong, I'm fine, why do you ask?'

'Oh, I dunno. I just wanted to know, that's all.' Percy smiled at her. She returned the smile leaning forward to kiss him lightly on the lips. Percy smiled into her kiss, leaning forward slowly. Just as he was moving his arms to wrap them around her Annabeth turned her head to stop him.

'I was studying, Seaweed Brain,' Annabeth laughed looking into Percy's eyes as he pouted slightly. Annabeth kissed him once before retuning to her book.

'You started it,' Percy muttered under his breath. He began fiddling with a ring Annabeth had bought him years ago. It was a rolling ring,  Annabeth said it would help him with his ADHD and him cracking his knuckles. It had helped, when he wore the ring  and got stressed he'd just  roll it up and down his finger. It was times like these, when Annabeth was keeping things from him that his stress and ADHD reached new levels and he'd begin fiddling with it.

Annabeth glanced up at him, frowning.

'Hey, didn't I get you that?'

Percy grunted a reply that sounded vaguely like 'Yeah.' It was Annabeth's turn to be in his postition. He was stressed out, he was back in school and at work. He was torn between helping Annabeth, just kissing her or asking her what her problem was.

Annabeth sat up again, 'Are you okay?' Again her eyebrows were furrowed but there was more concern in her eyes.

'Hey, look at me,' She whispered touching his face softly before turning his chin towards her. Percy looked at his shoes, he didn't want to look at her if she was keeping something big from him.

'Hey, Percy come on,' Annabeth pleaded softly, leaning forward to wrap her arms around his shoulders. 'Is it because I stopped you?' She said with an underlying tone of guilt in her voice.

Percy looked up then, 'No!,' He exclaimed, 'I could never be mad at you for that'

'Then why are you mad?' Annabeth stood up and breathed out exasperatedly.

Percy looked up at her. He tried to reach for her hands but she snatched them away. There was a pang of hurt in his chest.

'No, you can't just hold my hand and make thing better Percy!' Annabeth said sternly, 'What's wrong? Is it me? Do you want to see another girl? If you do, you can, you can't have your girlfriend with memory issues holding you back,' She said pacing her dorm room.

Percy stood up meeting her as she turned around before her wall. He grabbed her hands and brought them up to his lips, he kissed each finger softly. Annabeth relaxed slightly.

'I'm just overwhelmed,' He whispered, clutching her hands, 'I could never see another girl, hell, Annabeth at the moment your the only thing in my life that makes the slightest bit of sense, but when your keeping things form me I get upset,' Annabeth let a deep breath out, staring at her shoes, somehow both their pairs of converse had become very entertaining recently.

'Percy, I think you should sit down,' She murmured.

Percy sat obediently, pulling Annabeth into his lap. She scooched over to sit cross-legged across from him on the bed. Percy mimicked her, picking up her hands again once he was comfortable.

Annabeth leant over to kiss him, 'What was that for?' Percy asked.

'I wanted to be the last person to kiss you before I kill you,' Annabeth whispered, lifting his hands to her mouth to kiss them.

'Annabeth, nothing you say could ever kill me,' Percy reassured her with  a smile.

Annabeth wouldn't look up from her lap. Percy decided to give her a moment. He got distracted by her beautiful little curls and the way they framed her face. He was almost in a dream land when Annabeth spoke again.

'Percy I'm pregnant.'

Percy choked on air. Nope this wasn't killing him, but it was close.

'I'm pregnant and I hardly even know myself-'

'Whose the dad?' Percy exclaimed, interrupting her.

Annabeth looked at him with teary eyes, 'You are, dummy,'

'But we haven't even... done anything! How far along are you? How could you not tell me?' Percy stuttered.

'I'm three months along, Percy I couldn't tell you 3 months ago because I didn't even know who you were 3 months ago!' Annabeth exclaimed.

Percy forced himself to take a deep breath and compose himself. Say something charming. He told himself, it had kinda become a motto.

'You can tell me anything,' Percy whispered before leaning forward to kiss her. Annabeth let herself fall back on the bed. Instead of Percy, well, taking advantage of this situation, Annabeth was basically giving him permission for him to do what he wanted with her body. Instead he simply lay down next to her. He fiddled with her short curls, kissing her cheeks and all over her face. He rested one hand over her stomach where their child was growing.

'I love you,' Annabeth whispered into his cheek as he kissed her jaw softly.

Percy's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't told him that since the accident. Percy had missed the way it sounded coming from her mouth. He faltered for a second before whispering his reply,

'I've always loved you,'
