Dad has been letting me take a break from school. I think he's been so concerned about me. I overheard him talking on the phone with a child psychiatrist. I think he thinks I'm going insane.Today, I heard a knock on our door. It was Holly. She went to school, but I guess she came to see me.
She greeted my Dad, and asked where I was. He called me down. "Hi," Holly greeted me. "Hi," I said. We walked upstairs to my room.
We sat on my bed. "Did you listen to the CD?" Holly asked. "No," I said. "Why not?" she asked. "I haven't really been up to it." I said.
Then, there was silence.
"I know you miss your mom." she said, patting my back. "I really do..." I said.
"I'm sorry for your loss, but you have to move on. It may be hard but, you have to." Holly said. I started crying. "You're right." I said as I was wiping away tears. "You have to start talking again, and getting back with your friends." she said. "Alright," I agreed. "And, get back into your favorite activities. It'll help you." she said.
"Thanks, Holly." I said. "I want to help, because you are my friend. You'll never be alone." she said.
