As people pulled her from her child's she screamed and cried sobbing asking God why.
"THEY KILLED MY BABY!! GOD WHY?!" Her body collapsed to the ground in a heap her body shook as she cried her eyes out and crawled back to her son's lifeless body, his eyes stared into her eyes not blinking, she clutched at his shirt tighter yelling in his face.
"Baby wake up!!" She screamed, aside people stood crying and some shook their head in disbelief others tried to get through to see.
"Just another black on black crime." The officers said to one another."Just another ni**** off the streets, come on people move around !" The other said waving the crowd away.
Shots ring through the air.

"Ah fuck, deeper Big Daddy!!" The grunts and moans came from the room, I stood outside the door and closed my eyes.
"Mommy! " I said for the 15th time, nobody was paying me any attention as usual but I needed her at the moment. Her moans got louder and I sighed walking down the hall into the bathroom and looked at the bruise on my knee, I got the First AID Kit and looked inside for a band aids and alcohol wipes, I turned on the cold water and cleaned the blood from my knee then using the wipe I cleaned it making a hiss noise because it stung so much, I dried it and put the band aid on.
I cleaned up my mess and threw things into the trash, I grabbed my basketball and walked out the house tired of being ignored by everyone, I started to walk down the street seeing men who worked for Big G they greeted me and let me pass without any hassle, I dribbled the ball walking past the stores and men trying to sell things on the corner, I saw a boy sitting on the bench at the park and went to him.
"Hi I'm Nani." He looked up at me.
"I'm Quay." He said bluntly I smiled at him and sat next to him I held my ball on my lap and we sat in silence I occasionally looked over at him and he'd look over at me so I'd turn my head the other way, we played like this until we caught each other both staring then we laughed.
"You play ball?" Quay asked me pointing to the ball and I shrugged my shoulders looking down at my ball.
"I want to, but nobody will teach me." I said sadly thinking about how my brother barely acknowledged me anymore, now that he was a highschooler it was like I didn't exist.
"I can teach you, I'm gonna be in the NBA one day." He said smiling proudly I laughed and looked at him.
"Mr. G says it not okay to lie." I said and he looked at me.
"Well Mr. G can kiss my ass, 'cause Imma make it outta here and be somebody, Imma make sure, Imma buy my momma a house and everythin'. " Quay said smiling, I looked at him for a moment then smiled.
"You're going to be the hero." He looked at me and shrugged.
"Yeah if you call ball playa's heros, then hell yeah." I scrunched up my nose looking at him.
"You cuss a lot, Tottie does too." I said tracing the lines on the ball.
"Tottie ? Who's Tottie?" He said laughing at the name.
"My brother."
"Yo momma named yo brother Tottie ?"
"No."
"Well that's a gay ass name."
"You're gay."
"Hell nah, you gay."
"I don't like you."
"Good, I don't like yo ass either."
I got up and dribbled my ball to the court and started to shoot around.
"You can't shoot either!" He called out, I rolled my eyes at him and shot it again, he ran over and stole the ball.
"Imma play, I still don't like you."
"Good, I don't like you either, you stink."
"Yo breath stink."
I laughed and took the ball dribbling around the court as he chased me for the ball, the sun started to set over the city and for once it seemed quiet, no gunshots, no women screamed and no dogs barked. Nobody cried.
