Greg watched as his brother scarfed down the plate of food his wife had cooked earlier that evening. The candle that sat between them flickered and Greg turned his attention to the flame.
"So." Greg said lowly, his brother stopped mid chew and looked at him.
"You look like you doin' good lil G, nice house and shit fancy ass suit..so why you ain't bail me out?" Gavin swallowed his food and took a sip of his drink keeping eye contact with Greg, Greg raised his eyebrow while twisting the ring on his finger.
"You deserved the time you got..wasn't long enough if you ask me." Greg responded bluntly and Gavin scoffed rolling his eyes as he went back to eating his food. "I hope you don't expect anything from me, I'm already letting you stay here. I shouldn't even do that for you. After all you pu-" Gavin put his hand stopping him.
"Greg that was younger me, stupid me. I'm changed. I know we've had our differences and shit but shit we blood and blood is thicker than water." They sat in silence staring at each other, watching each other's every move. Someone in the shadow cleared their throat and the men heads snapped in the direction. Viv stepped into the light.
"The electrician is here." She looked at Greg not making any eye contact with Gavin who was staring her down.
"Viv? Is that you girl?" Gavin smiled and stood up swiftly approaching her as she felt her body tense up and backed away. "Aw, don't be like that give yo brother a hug sis." He pulled Viv into him hugged her tightly. Viv felt trapped, two serpents, one Eve. Gavin inhaled her scent and smirked pulling away.
"Gavin." She stated simply while nodding her head, she backed away and walked out of the room while Gavin's eyes followed her behind.
"Stop looking at my wife." Greg said coldly. Gavin turned his and smiled at his little brother while returning to his seat.
"She's all grown up." Gavin felt himself throb and think of the last time, it had been so long since he'd felt the insides of a woman, especially the inside of Vivyana.
"The concrete must be suitable enough for you to lay your head on tonight." Greg raised his eyebrow and stared in Gavin's soulless eyes, one soulless look to another they sat in silence while Gavin sipped his drink.

Arnani laid her head on Q's chest and listened to his slow breathing, after round four he was sleeping peacefully while Arnani's thoughts stirred, she smiled noticing the off track heartbeat in his chest and traced the tattoo on his arm. His chest rose and fell slowly as he stretched and she looked up at him.
"Go to sleep Nani, We got shit to do tomorrow." Q looked down at her and smiled rubbing her back as she pretended to be sleeping. "I know you not sleep creep you was watching me." He closed his eyes back and continued rubbing her back, she smiled and giggled while rubbing his chest and body.
"You caught me." She yawned and they sat in silence for a minute, Q opened his eyes and looked at her.
"You talked to your grandparents?" Arnani stopped rubbing him and inhaled slowly let out a deep breath.
"No, I don't see what else we need to speak about." Q sucked his teeth and looked at her.
"You need to get to know them."
"My grandma talks to ghost Q and my grandfather doesn't speak."
"Actually," Q sat up and grabbed his backpack from the side of the bed. "I did some research, I think your grandmothers practice of voodoo has something to do with your grandpa being quiet."
