"Do you think he likes me back?" Sacha asks as she studies the dead ends in her plat.

"Maybe, I don't know him well enough to judge this situation" I say, logging off the computer.

"It's a shame you weren't there in maths to see his first reaction to his new amazing classmate" she says gesturing to herself.

All I can do is laugh.

"What's so funny?" she frowns.

"Nothing. I'm glad I don't know if he likes you. If I'd said how cute you would be together, you would probably end up staying in this room forever."

"And why's that?" she asks confused, which only fuels my laughter.

"Because your head would be so big from the praise that you wouldn't be able to get out of the door"

"Oh, you're such a comedian" she mocks.

For the first time this week, we have a lesson together and it feels great to know I have my partner in crime to keep me sane.

"No way" I mutter. Low and behold, Ben is stood outside our English class, waiting to go in.

Sascha spots him too and her smile slowly grows.

"This isn't funny" I groan.

Ever since the incident, Sascha hasn't stopped talking about it. I haven't even talked to him since; things between us would just be too awkward. I mean, his first day at Gotham High and he knocks out a girl with his locker door. If I was him, I wouldn't talk to me either.

Plus there's the fact that he is now popular, no thanks to the football team. Making it nearly impossible to talk to him, or spot him in the dinner hall because of all the girls flocking around him.

As we wait outside, I look at my timetable to see we have Miss Parker. I've had her before, so I know we will get to sit wherever we want to. She is pretty much one of the few teachers who are nice.

The line slowly starts to disappear into the classroom. We make our way to the seat at the back, in the corner. I didn't even notice who was sitting around us, until I heard.

"Hello again"

I nearly fell out of my seat in shock as I turn to see Ben, sat at the table opposite us.

"Is it ok if I sit with you? Just because I only know you two in the class" he says, looking nervous.

Man he was so cute, he didn't want to sit by himself in case he had to sit next to someone he didn't know.

"Of course its fine, you don't have to ask" I hear Sascha answer for me.

"Thanks, you're both a lot different from the rest of the girls here" he says and I laugh. I don't know if I should be flattered or mad. I know who will take it the wrong way.

"What do you mean by that?" Sascha asks and by the way his facial expression changes quickly, I can tell he's a bit intimidated by Sascha. She is very scary when she wants to be so I don't blame him.

"Oh...it's in a good way, don't worry" he says worriedly, making me laugh again.

"You're finding everything funny lately Lucy. Do you want to share what's so amusing?" She says, folding her arms like an angry business lady.

"You need to calm down Sash, you're scaring the poor guy. Just smile and say thank you instead of getting your knickers in a twist" I say, trying to remember how to breathe.
