A few days later the princess was moved back into her own room. She had healed from the bump on the head, the rest of the family had been told about the Queen's pregnancy, it was all in great fun that now there were more little feet running around the castle again. Even though to Queen D and King Peter, there were always little feet running around.

The Princess and her boyfriend of now over a week, they had an agreement that pleased them both, Alice would fall asleep with Dylan and he would stay with her, sometimes he would leave after she had fallen asleep, and then he would slip into her room to be there when she woke up. What happened next was this past time that was supposed to slip in her bedroom before she woke up. Except, this was the one time he didn't want to be seen by anyone.

Alice woke up with Dylan or who she thought was Dylan, a vampire, with the face of her boyfriend.

"Alice dear don't look at me please?" His voice low and almost not like his own, it was unusual sounding.

*Dylan?*  she mentally touched his mind. *Is this really you?*

"Yes!" he said loudly, looking away from the love of his life, looking sadly at his bare feet, not sure what to do. His body was becoming something not of his own.

"When... When.... My mom was pregnant  with me she got bit by a vampire then my dad got bit by a werewolf. I have the blood of both in me." Feeling the power of one or the other pushing forward, he was afraid of what might happen, whether it be to himself, or to Alice.

He walked over to the bed at the edge at Alice's request.

Alice sat up ,she quickly began to sway Dylan was right there to catch her, *Your eyes * Seeing that they had a red tint to them, knowing that Vampires do get that red glow, but not exactly sure how. She thought she heard him purr slightly then stop .(Dylan thought if you knew why my eyes were red you would think they were as beautiful )

"What about them he asked?" Trying to keep his control, trying not to scare the girl he loved away from him.

"They are the most beautiful shade of red". She told him through the link. Knowing that he didn't believe her.

He abruptly turned away and tears silently fell down his pale cheeks. By grabbing onto his arm Alice forced him to look at her she was crying herself. He wiped away her tears with a thumb.

"Now why are you crying Alice?"

"Dylan when you cry I cry, something you also feel and understand, that is part of our link. I can feel you are troubled, please, let me help you."

"I'm a monster Alice!" He exclaimed as he looked away from her, still holding her, not wanting her to fall and get hurt.

She again forced him to look at her but this time she was wiping away his tears, "You are MY monster!" She said with all the power she could muster for she was weak and hurting plus she was still tired. Dylan was beginning to realize that no matter what, he and Alice were going to be okay.

Dylan just smiled and showed 7-inch fangs. Alice ran her finger along the edge of his jaw, she thought she heard him purr. Placing one hand on either side of his face she pulled him close to her, with her touch he turned back to normal. She pulled him even closer. When he could no longer take it he made his move pushed her hand aside and kissed her full on the lips.

He thought to himself we have kissed like this before but how come it fells even better. After that thought he felt it, Alice was touching his chest where his heart was, she was gripping at his shirt. It was her way of silently conveying that she wanted to be connected to him, to feel the heart that belongs to her.
