Chapter 16: A Party For Mum Part 2

King Johnny brought his three sons into the palace late at night. When he knew that his wife, daughter and 12 brothers-in-law would all be asleep. Hopefully.... Kaia had a habit of roaming because of the babies fussing inside her.

"Dylan please use one of the guest rooms? Alice will never figure that you would stay in there. Men, Levi, take the Captain and Titus to another one of the rooms for me?"

"Of course my King." Dylan says as he disappears into a puff of smoke and into one of the many guest rooms that was on the opposite sides of the castle, of his Alice. It felt so great to be home, except home was laying in bed with Alice's head on his chest her playing with his jet black hair.

Her laughing at something stupid that he did or said. Home was in her kisses. Home was in her anger to protect, her sensitivity when she cried.

Getting into the shower he thought about Alice again and again. This was one of the signs of being in love. When Dylan went to King Johnny when he was about 10 and confessed to having extremely strong as well as deep feelings for Alice.

Thinking about how he has been away for much longer than expected. His Queen had sent him word that there was a threat of an attack on a neighboring planet and she did not want to risk anyone getting hurt. Either Dylan or the crew working the ship.

Everyone understood, Alice was heartbroken of course. But she knew that it had to be so not to cause any injury to anyone else. If anything ever happened to Dylan she would never forgive herself.

Using a jade shampoo, letting it just sink into my scalp. It was then I realized that I hadn't eaten since yesterday. Knowing that my King was coming to get me had gotten me to excited to eat. I sent Mendel a message

"is it possible to get some food? Haven't eaten since yesterday..."

"Of course you can. Be up in 15 minutes."

"Thanks!"

"No problem brother."

Letting the water rinse me, I thought about seeing my girlfriend again. Would she recognize me? Not entirely sure how much I have changed in almost 5 months. I wonder how much she has changed?

Getting out of the shower and seeing the time.

12:30 am

I got dressed in a t-shirt and shorts, letting my hair dry naturally. Looking around the room, seeing all the different kinds of blues and greens. there is a painting overlooking the layer of a sea dragon cave. All the different color eggs, there were hundreds of them in that cave. Alice had made that painting, I could tell just because of the way it was done.

I heard a knock on the door a few moments later, opening it slowly. It was Rob!

"Dylan! Your back!" He exclaimed.

"Yes only for a few days though. I'm on leave, both the captain and his daughter are here as well."

"No matter, no matter" Rob says as he wheels himself in my temporary room. "I've brought all of your favorites! Pizza steak, salads, pomegranate juice mixed with seltzer water. Fudge brownies with pumpkin ice cream on top. And a note from Alice."

"How does she know already? It was supposed to be a surprise? How-"

"Dylan. Calm down mate, all of these were in a special place in the fridge for when you came home. And this letter has been sitting on the tray since you left. Alice has no idea that your home. But the only thing is that she checks the fridge every day; the cooks are all making another tray to put in place of this one. But we need to put the letter back too."
