Chapter 18: A Party For Mum Part 4

"Are you trying to be a matchmaker again sister?" Caleb asked his sister as he came through the window. His short auburn hair covering his eyes. Walking to the bedside to talk to his brother and sister.

"Now brother dear you know that I take much joy in doing that.. "She laughed at one of her older brothers. Peacer looked at the older Prince in awe, he had heard about all 12 of Queen Kaia's brothers; having met the Queen's twin brother just a half hour ago was an honor for him.

"Ah you must be Dylan's guard Peacer?" Prince Caleb asked as he extended his hand to the young boy standing next to his sister's bed. As Peacer accepted the hand shake he answered with,

"Yeah I am Peacer it is very nice to meet you Sire."

Caleb just laughed as he told the young boy, "Please call me Caleb, since you will be staying in our home I figured you could get to know the entire family yes?" Auburn  hair leaning against his face in a way that made him look like a young boy.

Peacer then looked at his Queen with a look, that was asking "You really want to have me here?" 

"Of course we want you here my boy!" Johnny said as he stood from his place beside his wife. I'll have a permanent room made for you here. "What kinds of things do you like me boy?" The king asked so he could get everything together for the new member of the family.

"I'm not really sure my King, my living on a ship almost my whole life has sort of dampened my tastes..So I don't know anything really... I wish I did." Peacer said as he looked down in shame.

" Oh don't worry my boy there are plenty of things to learn and do here you know." Caleb said as he took a seat next to his sister on her bed.

"You could always have Riker walk with you around the grounds? I'm sure she would like that very much". Kaia mentioned as she roll over onto her left side.

"My Queen, Kaia... May I get a piercing or two?" Peacer asked his queen suddenly.

"Why of course you can, I mean if that is what you want. Can I ask why though? If it is none of my business you may say so." She said.

"I have sort of always wanted a few. Maybe that way more girls would notice me, but specifically one girl.."

"Do you mean my niece?" Caleb asked as he waved his hand for a tray of lemonade to form from mid air. Handing Kaia a glass, then his brother-in-law lastly was Peacer.

The young boy's eyes gave the answer he wished not speak. "Yes Riker, I like her very much. Even if I just met her this afternoon. I.. I don't know if I'm the right guy for her though." He looked down sadly.

"I had an inkling that my daughter was going to gain feelings for you!" John said as he came through the wall. "And seems like you have gained feelings for her as well?" The prince asked.

"It's no use lying to me, I can see it written all over your face." He said as Peacer was about to deny what the Prince was saying. But it was true, Peacer did have strong feelings for Riker, she was beautiful, her long red hair that blew in the wind. Her voice that sounded like music to his ears, a song that he could leave on repeat for the rest of his life.

"Are you sure Sire?" Peacer asked Prince John about his daughter.

"Please call me John? The title 'Prince' is just so formal that it get's a bit annoying to be quite honest. That is why when Riker had asked me if she could stay with Levi and Dylan; her eyes had also landed on you briefly. I had known that my daughter was going to fall in love sooner than later."
