Curse Released

I couldn't stop smiling as Louise prepared her spell. In a few moments, I will be normal! I've dreamt of this day, but never have I thought it would come true. My family and I will be human. We can finally live a normal life.

Lightly laughing, I thought of the two months that have happened. Becoming a mutant, befriending giant turtles, and have a tiger mutant as a mate. My life will never be normal. Human or not.

Tiger Claw, Master Splinter, and the turtles stood at the sidelines. Casey and April had to return home. They were waiting patiently for Louise to cast the spell. Correction: Master Splinter and Tiger Claw were waiting patiently. The turtles weren't. It's amazing how those four have beaten the Shredder times and times again, and they act like children.

I made eye contact with Tiger Claw. We ended Megan's reign of terror the night before. It was truly difficult to kill someone of my own blood. Of course, I didn't actually kill Megan with my own hands. But the fact that I had her killed . . . it was like weights were put on my heart.

"Okay, I got the spell and the potion. Time to release you of the curse." Louise said.

Looking back at Louise, I couldn't stop the smile from spreading out on my face. "You will cure me and the rest of my family, right? No tricks?" I asked with slight suspicion. "I promise, no tricks. You and your family will be curse free." Louise reassured me. She stands up straight and takes out her wand. "Now please stand in the pentagram, and we can get started." she asked.

I nodded happily and walk to the center of the pentagram. The chalk drawn on the floor glowed once I enter the circle. I stop at the center and stand there patiently. My heart beats rapidly in excitement.

"Sa I dnammoc. Esaeler siht lrig dna reh ylimaf morf eht esruc I evag. Eerf meht won!" Louise chanted. She throws powder from a bag at me and it landed on my head. Suddenly, the powder just glows and makes flashes. I stumbled a little but kept myself standing.

The circle outside of the pentagram blew up in white hot flames. The fire brought up horrible memories as a child. Memories ran across my mind as I was reminded of the many fires I fled from. I grab my suddenly throbbing head, letting out a pained groan. My legs became heavy and my head much lighter. All feeling in my body disappeared, and I collapse onto my backside.

"Natalie!" my friends screamed.

I heard them move but Louise stopped them. "Do not step over the line! The spell will be broken if you do!" she screamed over the crackling flames.

A scream ripped out of my throat as what felt like my heart was being ripped out. Blood choked me as I started to cough it up. My head moved to the side so I could cough up the blood without choking even more. I saw Raphael and Mikey through the flames from where I was facing. I could see the worry on their faces.

"EGNAHC REH WON!" Louise screamed.

A powerful, resonating scream leaped from my mouth as pain rippled through my entire body. I felt and tasted blood as it ran down my body. My vision suddenly went black, but I knew I was still conscious from the pain. Then all at once, the pain ceased and I stop screaming.

I still couldn't see but could feel eyes on me as silence builded through the room.

Slowly, my vision came back to me. It appeared as white specks growing and growing till I could see everything again. I was staring up at the ceiling as I lied on my back. "Natalie?" I heard my name called. Sitting up, I look at my friends and saw worry yet relief in their eyes. "I feel like shit." was the first thing I said.

Everyone bursts out laughing though Master Splinter frowned at me for my language.

Louise walked toward me and helps me stand. There was blood all over me, and I looked like I just murdered somebody. And with my record, I probably have once. I wipe off the blood from my mouth, suddenly realizing I didn't feel the tip of my fangs. Touching my teeth again, I feel delighted to feel that I was right. "I don't have fangs!" I cheered. I couldn't stop myself from hugging Louise in happiness. "Your spell worked!" I exclaimed happily.
