"Well...Miss Montgomery, I've skimmed through your work and I must say...for a youthful writer, your work is very impressive" The writer, Karina told Tori as she faced her from across her desk. "Oh, thank you" Tori sighed with relief. "Yeah, well done. I see no problem with printing this..." She told her, with a smirk on her face. "Oh my gosh...really?!" Tori asked. "Yes, I'll have it sent first thing tomorrow" Karina clasped her hands onto her desk.
"That is...so good! Thank you so much!" Tori grinned at her. "Oh your welcome. They aren't a lot of you, young good writers. Your a classic...I assumed your studies revolved more around creative writing?" She asked. "Yes.." Tori nodded. "Yeah, I can tell. I'd like to read something of yours...." Karina told her. "Um...Tori we don't usually offer this to new...interns, but I'd happily set you up with a writer, or a movie script." Karina told her.
"Huh?" Tori asked, rather shocked. "I can't give any work, or scripts today. Short notice, and of course it will have to be organized down to a T" She told her nodding. "The sad part of that news is, there isn't any work right now. However with your creative aspect look on...writing, you could produce something." Tori sat and listened, confused yet slightly astounded. "What exactly do you mean?" Tori asked, sitting forward a little.
"Well, you could decide to write a piece on something. Like for example, you could write something that associates with the world. Politics, the law, digging deeper into the making of something huge in America. A store, a town, a city..." Karina listed off, before going into her drawer. "Or...the second option would be, that you could write a first draft of something original. That could be, a fiction piece, something relatable or past experiences....future experience perhaps. Fiction, or non fiction."
Tori nodded a long, as she listened to the information given to her. "As I said..." Karina leaned forward and gave Tori a leaflet, and an information pack full with ideas. "...We don't have work for you right now. That could change however, tomorrow, next week...but I would like to read more work from you" She told her smiling. "So basically, your giving me the opportunity to write something from my own self, and give you it?" Tori asked. "You listen and learn well, Tori...that part is up to you. Think about it, and call me with your decision" Karina stood up, and handed her a small business card.
"Thank you...so much. I'll put that in mind!" Tori took it, then shook hands with her. "Bye for now" Karina nodded, and so did Tori before she left her office. Walking down some stairs, she got to the main doors before leaving and stepping outside. She felt like screaming with happiness the fact her work was getting printed. It might not be a book, or a massive piece but something of hers was getting printed! Taking out her phone, she didn't now who to call first. Her mom and dad...Hanna, Spencer, Ryan....
What time was it?
3:25pm
....Michael?
Could she call him? No. Going through her contacts, her phone went black before a call came through and her phone started ringing. Looks like he beat her to it.
' Hello? ' She answered.
' Hey there...guess where I or actually we are? ' Michael asked.
' Hm...Hugh Hefner's palace? ' Tori joked.
' Very fuckin' funny ' He laughed, yet mumbled.
' You sound tired ' Tori told him.
' I am. Very, but...how did you interview go? ' He asked, interested.
' It went...very well actually. Thank you ' Tor nodded, as she looked around.
' Awesome! I knew it. ' He told her.
