Later that night.
"Yeah was a good day today. Just tiring thats all" Calum yawned as he was slumped down on the sofa inside their hotel. "Is that why your not out tonight?" Hanna looked around the room. "Not here remember, they're in LA right now" Calum nodded, obviously knowing what Hanna meant.
"Hm. Didnt stop them last time." She sat down next to him. "Stop who?" Ashton walked into the room, with a smile. "Him from making a move" Hanna quickly lied, making Calum smirk. "She wishes" He winked. Spencer dropped her head and laughed quietly to herself.
"Sometimes its better not to go out...and I'm not saying that coz I'm a bore" Spencer told them. "No, it's because everywhere we've went so far we've nearly been blinded with flashing photography" Hanna made a face, as she sat back. "The price you gotta pay when your rich, famous, and stunningly beautiful" Calum joked. "Awh, thanks...I didnt know anyone noticed" Hanna put her hand to her chin making Ashton and Spencer laugh.
"Seems like you had a good day" Tori smiled, as she sat on the bed next to Michael in the other room.
"I did. Missed you there though" He smiled at her. Tori stared at him with a smile, as he sat with a red flannel and jeans. "Yeah well...I was kinda busy today" She nodded, taking her leg from underneath her other and sitting properly. "Why do...I sense something wrong now?" Michael looked at her.
"I'm uh...if you guys are still on the road near September...I mat not be able to come along" She nodded. "Is it the article your writing?" He looked at her smiling. "No, no...thats going good right now" She nodded. "Your still writing?...can I see a piece?" He smirked. "No, not yet" She smiled at him. "Okay...so why cant you, maybe not be able to come?" He asked her.
Tori sighed as she looked away.
"I'm uh..." She began. Michael stared at her, knowing what she was going to say. "It's something to do with you and Ryan, right?" He asked softly. Tori looked at him. "Is that why your kinda jumpy right now? Coz we're here in Chicago?" He nodded.
"No...Ryan isnt here right now." She told him. "Where is he?" He asked. "Ohio" She nodded. "Why is he in our home?" Michael asked frowning. "He's doing a show there...and he was going to drop in and say hi to my parents" She told him. "I thought your mom and dad havent officially met him yet?" Michael asked. "They havent..." Tori nervously spoke.
"Isnt that sort of a dick move? Shouldnt he go to see your parents, with you?" Michael asked, before tutting. Tori sat in silence. "I'm guessing he's still team...Rori...Tryan..." He rolled his eyes. Tori giggled a little, as she looked at him. "Wow, good ship names" She mocked. Michael looked away, not phased making Tori's smile drop.
"Better than anything we had" Michael spoke. "Hey, come on dont start that" Tori told him. "Its not, what we had was real Mikey" Tori told him. "What? And you and him arent?" He asked. "Wrong this I said there..." Tori nodded. "Doesnt it bother you that...you cant lie around with him...laughing over pointless shit? Having lazy days, in bed just cuddling as you...dont do anything?" Michael looked at her.
"Only us could do that" Tori sighed, as she looked away from his stare. "I thought you were going to tell him..." Michael began. "Its not as simple as saying oh we're done bye!" Tori tutted as she looked at him. "It was easy for us" He told her. Tori stared at him. "Thats different...you broke my heart" She rolled her eyes as she stood up.
"Gosh, Michael you always..." "What? Ruin the moment?" He mocked, as he stood too. "Can...we not?" Tori turned to him. "Michael, you cant...do what you did and hate me for finding someone else once we break up, a year later" Tori nodded. "I dont hate you" Michael told her, with sad eyes. "I hate him" He sighed. "You dont know him..." Tori shook her head. "I dont have too, he has you and thats enough" He stared at her.
"I dont want you to go" Michael told her. "I cant stick around here like a painting for you" Tori sighed. Nodding Michael shrugged. "Okay fine. Your right...whatever" He sat back down and rubbed his face with his hands. "Its like a beautiful painting, surrounded by security guards" Michael then chuckled, making Tori smile.
"I know I've made mistakes more than...a hundred times but...this time, I need that second chance" Michael told her. "You know we're good" Tori told him. "No, we're not Tori. You say that but every chance you get, you throw all the mistakes back up in my face. That makes me think different!" Michael told her.
"Okay fine. We're not good, its terrible! Is that what you want me to say?" Tori shrugged. "Maybe a bit softer" Michael looked away. "There is no soft way about this" Tori told him. "I know..." Michael sighed, closing his eyes for a second. "...I just wish...that we could go back to a time where...we thought everything was perfect" Tori smiled.
"Before we actually started college. Before, you left...and met many other girls" She sighed. "Yet we knew deep down it was falling apart when you werent around. You couldnt tell anyone you were with someone in case fans got mad" Tori shook her head.
"That was just at the beginning" He told her. "Yeah, thanks management! Dont you think its easier to say your with someone at the start?" Tori nodded. Michael rolled his lips as he looked away. "It wasnt good for us Mikey...I knew it, and you knew it" She told him. "I didnt" He looked back at her. "Yeah, somewhere in the back of your mind, you did. Thats why you did what you did when you lost your control" Tori nodded.
"If I thought things werent good, dont you think I'd call you and say ' Hey, this is not good, we need to talk? ' " Michael mocked slightly. "Because drunk Michael doesnt do that! Drunk Michael does stupid shit!" Tori told him, with wide eyes. "You took the easy way out!" She tutted. Turning away, Michael sat silently.
Tori sighed, before she walked over and sat down again. Looking at his back, and his blue hair that was now turning lilac, she smiled. "Do you remember...that weekend we had nothing to do and you told me you wanted to go to Milwaukee because of the name?" Tori smiled more widely. Michael still sat quiet.
"I made fun of you, because of it. We were laughing and you hit out at the spur of the moment ' we should road trip! ' and I was like ' Hitchhike to Milwaukee?' "Tori giggled quietly. "We packed a bag, and got into your car and just hit the road without any plans, or directions..." Tori's eyes began to glisten.
"We didnt even end up there, we ended up in Michigan" Michael then spoke softly, as he chuckled. Tori nodded, as she rolled her lips together. "That was technically our first trip...before San Francisco" Michael then turned, and looked at her. "True." Tori whispered, as she tried to not let tears escape her eyes. Michael stared at her.
"We should do that" He nodded. "Do what?" Tori smiled. "Spur of the moment. Take a road trip" He smiled. "We're already on the road" Tori giggled. "No, I mean like...you and me. Go on the road...Michigan is a couple hours from here!" Michael grinned. "Mikey...we cant just leave." Tori shook her head.
"Why not? Maybe time alone will be good for us" He told her. "Oh yeah, sure about that?" Tori nodded, with wide eyes. "We've managed to stay clothed so far" Michael smirked. "Michael, we cant...go on the road without your band or my friends...are you crazy?" She sighed. "Maybe I am" Michael shrugged. "Your going to get noticed, and mobbed...and everything else!" She told him.
"We'll get a few guys with us..." Michael told her. "How comforting" Tori nodded. "We have...two weeks off, before going back to LA. Do this with me? Please?" Michael stared at her. "Its impossible" Tori told him. "Not if we dont make it like that" He smiled. "...How can we promise not to fight?" Tori asked, with little hope.
Michael sighed, as he took her hand. "We wont." "This is crazy" Tori scoffed. "We were always like that" Michael smirked. Tori thought for a moment.
This was going to be some road trip.
