Tori sat with her knee discreetly bobbing up and down. Biting the inside of her lip she held onto a smile showing on the outside at the three writers staring back at her.
"Well I'm more than confident about this, so happy to have you with us!" The slightly older woman handed over Tori an information packet with her work. "Thank you. Still cant believe it myself" Tori nervously laughed a little. "Well believe it. I think your going to do fine on your travels" The woman stood up, holding out her hand. "Yeah, thank you. Again" Tori nodded as she shook hands.
"Good luck" A man shook her hand and smiled, before Tori turned to the slightly younger woman at the end. "We all need first timers to try out things at first glance" The woman commented, looking into Tori's eyes. Shaking her hand weakly, Tori half smiled. What was she trying to say?
Letting go, the woman then turned her head as she sat down. "Hm, well thank you again!" Tori grabbed her bag. "We'll see you again soon. I'll let Jacqueline contact you" The older woman told Tori. Tori smiled before heading out the door, and closing it behind her. Sighing with relief, she took a breath before smiling to herself as she looked down at the folder filled with her 'assignments.' Document around San Francisco...this will be a blast!
Tori held onto her bag and folder as she made her way down the stairs, back down the way she came up. Looking all around her. This place seemed fancy, and the people walking around were either in full on suits or smartly dressed skirts. Finding her way to the door leading to the lobby, she stooped. Turning she found herself looking into a mirror, and she looked herself up and down. She had black skinny jeans on with boots. A smart like top on, which was black and white sheer fabric around her shoulders.
Her hair and newly cut bangs sat straight, and her glasses sat on her head. A makeup was minimal, but the usual she wore. She looked different...no band shirt, or flannel...no snapback or beanie. Her dark purple lips were gone, and she sighed slightly. She wasnt any different, she just dressed up more for this interview because she really wanted it.
Smiling, she walked out the doors into the lobby where she past the main desk out the main doors and into the fresh air. Looking around, she tried to decide where to go first.
There was a lot of places, the bridge, golden gate park...Where could she go to today? She had two weeks. That was her deadline. She had up until the following Wednesday after the next, so she could do all her work before Monday...then she could do what she wanted by herself. Site see, scope out things. Lie at the beach. Ha, when did Tori ever lie at the beach? What could she do? The faster she started, the sooner she finished to enjoy her time. Taking out her phone, she scrolled down her contact list.
Ring , ring...ring , ring....
'Hello?' A voice sounded.
'Hii, so guess where I am right niw? Yiu have three gusses' Tori giggled.
'Oh my...your in California?!' Hanna squealed down the phone.
'Yep, interview went suprisingly well, and now...all i have to do now is explore!'
'Thats awesome Tori! Have you told Spencer?'
'No not yet. Time difference...'
'Oh yeah...London.'
'So when are you two visiting?'
'Real soon! I'll be able to be there next week and hopefully Spence too!'
'Yeah, she's back here....on Monday or Tuesday i think.'
'Awesomeee! Well...i cant wait to get there. Have plenty of fun in the mean time'
'I'll try...I'll text later okay?'
'Kay Tor...see ya later! Love ya.'
'Love ya too, mwah!'
Tori hung up and sighed, as she smiled before walking up the street to try and get back to her hotel.
