I get ready to finally meet Jace. I throw on a maroon sweater and black jeans with some black converse. I didn't want my outfit to be too flashy but I didn't want to look like a hobo either.

I went to the bathroom to apply some makeup. I didn't want to cake up my face so I applied some mascara and eyeliner.

I look at the time and it's 3:28. "Mom, we have to go." I yelled upstairs.

"Okay, I'll be down in a sec." She yells back.

She comes downstairs and we leave the house. "So, are you excited? Nervous? Tell me how you feel?" My mom interrogating me.

"I don't know how I feel. I'm excited and I'm kinda nervous." I answered.

"I'm sure everything will turn out fine."

"Let's hope so..." I thought. What if I trip or stutter? I brushed those thoughts aside and focused on all the good things that could happen. We could end up hugging or even kissing. I know that will NEVER happen though.

We pulled up to the pier. "Everything is going to be fine." My mom reassured.

"Bye, Mom, wish me luck."

I got out of the car and started walking toward the pier. The smell of salt was the only thing that filled my nose.

I walked to the rail of the pier and looked down. Watching the waves was actually kinda relaxing. It helped me forget all of my stressful thoughts I was having. I was thinking about what would happen if tonight turned out like I hoped it would. I felt somebody cup their hands around my eyes.

"Guess who?" But I knew who it was.

"Jace." I screamed and hugged him. My heartbeat started beating super fast as soon as I felt him hug back.

"Ugh, I missed you." Jace said.

"I missed you too." I said, blushing.

We started walking down the pier, but it was long until Jace's fans stormed up to him and asked for pictures. I knew this would happen.

Jace got pushed farther and farther away from me when a fan cornered me between her and the railing.

"Who are you?" The blonde one said.

"Jace's friend."

"You better be just friends."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. You're not good enough to date Jace and if you think you have a chance with him, you're wrong. I know you and Jace aren't dating because he would at least try to find a good looking girlfriend."

I tried holding back the tears, but I couldn't contain them. I walked to the start of the pier and walked on the beach.

Jace's POV

I kept on getting pushed farther and farther away from Kaitlyn. All I saw was fans everywhere. This has never happened like this before.

I pushed my way threw the crowd, but there was no sign of Kaitlyn.

"Hey, have any of you guys seen Kaitlyn? Short, blonde hair, green eyes." I asked this blonde fan.

"No." She replied without hesitation.

I walked around the pier and toward the beach. I saw a short, blonde girl that kinda looked like Kaitlyn but it wasn't her. I can't lose her again.
