After a while of just standing there I remembered I was supposed to go to calum's so I got out and followed the directions Lauren had texted me, getting there in about ten minutes. When i got there I knocked on the door and calum let me in, everyone was in the living room. Ashton was sprawled out on a couch and Michael was next to Lauren on the other couch, I took a seat next to calum on a smaller couch.

Through the course of the afternoon everyone talked and laughed a lot but I wasn't really paying attention as I was too busy having an internal battle with myself about wether I had feelings for Luke or not. Of course I've found him extremely attractive since day one but I never really thought of him as more than a friend until now, I never gave myself the chance to think about it because I knew he was way out of my league and there was no way he would like me but after today I don't think I could ignore it anymore. I was taken out of my trance by Lauren, who was snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"I'm sorry what?"

"We're leaving, come on I'll give you a ride"

"Oh. Okay" I got up and said my goodbyes before following her to her car, once we were in the car the questioning started.

"Spill it"

"What?"

"You've been way too quiet today, I know something's on your mind and I wanna know what it is"

I sighed knowing that there's no way I could fool Lauren, she knows me way too well.

"Luke might have kissed me?"

"What!?" She yelled and I flinched "oh my god! How did that happen?" She was squealing and jumping up and down in her seat

"We were talking and he had to go so he hugged me goodbye and it sort of...happened"

"I'm so happy for you! Aw I ship you guys so hard!"

"What? No that's not gonna happen"

"Why not?" She pouted

"There's no way he would like me"

"Why do you think that?"

"Oh come on, I'm socially awkward and ugly as fuck he could do way better than me"

"Hailey don't think that way"

"It's true" I shrugged

"No it's not you're beautiful and amazing and you can totally tell he likes you"

"Yeah right" I scoffed

"I'm serious, if he didn't like you then why would he kiss you?"

"I don't know maybe he got caught up in the moment"

"Hailey give yourself some credit"

"We're here"

"Hailey"

"Thanks for the ride"

I got out and shut the door behind me. I'm a really insecure person and I can't get it through my head that there's the slightest chance that he might actually like me, I just can't see why he would possibly like me the way I like him, it made no sense.

That night I barely slept thinking about Luke, maybe I was getting feelings for him, but I didn't wanna let myself get in too deep because I knew that would only get me hurt. I also considered the possibility of Lauren being right, but it just made no sense at all.

Luke's p.o.v

Why the fuck did I do that? Everything was fine and we were getting along well but nope, I just had to ruin it. Now she's gonna be all confused, I'm all confused. Am I getting feelings for her?

I decided I would call Ashton and see if he could help me because I wasn't getting anywhere.

"Hey ash"

"Hi Luke what's up?"

"I might have fucked up"

"What did you do?"

"I kissed Hailey"

"You did what?!" He yelled

"I know" I sighed

"Why would you do that?"

"I don't know!"

"Do you like her?"

"I don't know ash, I'm honestly so confused"

"Well did she kiss you back?"

"Yeah"

"That's a good sign"

"But what do I do? Do I just act like nothing happened or talk to her about it?"

"Figure your feelings out first, then talk to her"

"So I just act normal?"

"At least try to, you suck at that" he chuckled "you'll probably avoid her all day and hide behind walls to keep out of her way so you don't have to face her"

"Shut up Ashton"

"Okay, okay. Just think about it and figure it out okay? You'll be fine"

"Alright, thanks ash"

"You're welcome"
