Being in love is a really weird concept. You give the other person your everything and just expect to receive it back. They're the main subject in thoughts all the time, it's like suddenly that person becomes the center of your universe. You also give that person the power to hurt you and completely rip you to shreds, just blindly trusting that they won't. Being in love is really weird and dangerous, but at the same time it's the best feeling in the world.

So there I was, laying on my couch in front of the tv and in Luke's arms, my head resting on his chest and his hands playing with mine. After our confession and a little more kissing we decided to come back to my place, the whole walk here was spent in silence and we spoke very few words when we arrived, I wasn't complaining though, it was nice.

"Hayley?" Luke mumbled against my head, I just hummed in response "I'm sorry"

"For what?"

"For everything. I never really figured out how to deal with feelings and I was scared to death when I started getting such strong feelings for you, I had no idea what to do about them and I was so stupid, I'm sorry""

"It's okay Luke, really, all that matters is that we're together now. Now I don't wanna kill the mood but shouldn't you go back home now?"

"Yeah" he sighed looking at his watch "I'll see you tomorrow. I love you"

"And I love you"

With one last peck on the lips he left, leaving me daydreaming on the couch.

The next morning waking up wasn't actually that bad since I had something to look forward to: Luke.
I met him at the front of the school and we walked in hand in hand. I was never a fan o PDA but the feeling of Luke's lips against mine was enough to forget about everything and everyone around us.

The day seemed to fly by and in no time it was already time for lunch. I walked in the lunch room hand in hand with Luke and was we sat down we noticed all of the stares around the room were on us.

"What?"

"What did this happen?" Lauren raised an eyebrow.

"Yesterday" I laughed.

"I fucking knew it!" Michael yelled "Luke I know you enough to know when you're lying, I thought you would've realized that by now"

"Shut up"

"Please don't make out in front of me, I really don't need more remainders of my loneliness" Cal groaned, to which Luke responded my leaning down and kissing me, making me giggle against his lips "fuck you Luke"

"Sorry that's my job" I giggled, turning at Luke who's cheeks were turning a light pink.

"You guys are gross"

"Thank you" I grinned.

After that the conversations around the table continued as usual and I couldn't help but stare at the beautiful boy at my side, wondering how in the world I got so lucky.

I was almost at the school when I heard my name being yelled out, I turned around to see Luke running towards me with the biggest smile on his face.

"Babe" he said breathlessly "my parents are going out of town this weekend! I don't have to deal with them until Tuesday!"

"Luke that's amazing!"

"It is...hey do you maybe wanna come over?" I raised an eyebrow "it's nothing like that I promise, unless you want it to be. I just wanna be with you, and I owe you a first date so this could be it"

"I'd love that" I grinned.

"So it's a yes?"

"Yes"

"I'll see you Friday night then" he smiled, leaning down and kissing me.
