Third Person POV:

I make it back to Head Quarters in under a minute, pushing my 3DMG to it's limits.

I swing in the building through the window, landing in the midst of all experienced officers who are arguing and screaming like children.

Much to my annoyance, they don't even notice my presence nor do they shut up. I make my way to the front of the room where the Commander's desk is with a scowl etched into my face.

I crack my knuckles before slamming them on the table, turning it into dust.

I keep my back to the officers for a moment as a blanket of silence embraces us. I turn heel facing them, their faces morph into one full of disbelief and disgust.

I give them a humourless smile and round of applause, "bravo! It seems to me that as soon as something bad happens you all lose your shit-" "-AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO QUESTION YOUR SUPERIORS?" screams a pudgy bald man.

My artificial smile drops into a disgusted snarl as I approach the disrespectful man. Everyone else in the room who knew who I was remains suck in a sharp breath as I kick the man into the far wall and hold a knife to his throat.

I look over my shoulder at the rest of the soldiers in the room."I'm only saying this once so listen up! My name is Kaminari Moriko of the Scout Regiment and I don't give a shit who you are or how much you despise me but we have a problem that needs to be addressed. So Commander Shadis-"

"Sir!" My piercing green eyes stare blankly into his own brown ones, "You are to gather the reinforcements, including the 104th Trainee Squad, and separate everyone into groups ready for deployment. Keep in mind the evacuation of the people is our first priority."

I see the sliver of fear become replaced with determination and purpose after my declaration. "Yes Sir!" He gives me a hearty salute before leaving to do as I said.

I turn back to the group, "You are all to split up, the Advance team is to head straight for the breach immediately and send any Trainees here. GO!" They all give me a curt nod before disappearing.

There's three remaining so I motion for them to follow me, "you three will assist with the supply team, do not abandon your duty as it could spell disaster for the rest of humanity. SCATTER!"

I cautiously take a peek over my shoulder and much to my relief they have followed my orders, so I make for the gathering point where Commander Shadis has called everyone.

I see that everyone is preparing their equipment for the challenge ahead, my gut clenches at the reality that I won't see most of these people again.

I spot Armin and Eren, making a bee line towards them as Shadis' voice rings out. "OUT OF THE FRYINGPAN AND INTO TH FIRE CADETS! IT'S TIME TO PUT YOUR TRAINING TO WORK AND I HAVE FAITH THAT EACH OF YOU WILL BE A CERDIT TO YOUR REGIMENT."

My face remains blank as I come closer to the shaking blonde and the brunette that desperately tries to console his friend. "Armin what's wrong?" I wordlessly take a seat next to the blonde as I refill my canisters.

His hands shake in fear as her tries to refill his cannisters, "don't worry I'm fine, just give me a second for my nerves to settle. This is bad isn't it? There's a hole in the wall 8 metres wide and we don't have the engineering know how to plug it-"

I clench my fists in anger as my thoughts temporarily drown out Armin's rambling. 'Am I allowed to transform in front of the cadets? God dammit! Only Levi or Erwin can give me the go ahead....but then again it might end up being my only option.

I tune back in to the blonde rambling next to me as he starts crying hysterically, "...How long do you think it will take until they take Wall Rose? Seriously how long!?! They could wipe out the entire human race by noon-"

*SMACK!*

The sound ricochets in the silence as Armin holds his now painful red cheek with the outline of a hand. Eren just gapes at me in shock, stuttering out. "K-Kaminari w-why'd you d-do that?"

I bend down slightly so that I'm eyeing the distraught blonde, "Armin you need to snap out of it now!" I spit out firmly.

Eren pulls me away from Armin, holding me up by my collar. "What's your problem?! You just can't hit him for no reason-" "-No Eren! She's right." Eren lowers me, looking at Armin in confusion.

The blonde shakes his head at his friend, "Drop her Eren she's right, I need to snap out of it and focus on the task at hand. I'm sorry guys."

I don't respond as the three of us make our way to where we were getting separated into groups.

Third Person POV:

"I want everyone to split into 4 squads as practised. All squads are responsible for their supplies, message relays and combat under the command of the Garrison Regiment. The innermost squadron will be the vanguard, then the support squad at the rear guard will go to the elites. I expect you all to man your posts."

As everyone becomes jittery as the information sinks in, both Armin and Eren notice Kaminari remaining unnervingly calm throughout the speech.

"The advance team has been wiped out, they're history! The titans are in and the armoured titan is likely to appear. If and when he does, the inner gate will be history." continues the Commander.

Everyone becomes visibly rattled, except Kaminari who again, continues to remain emotionless. Thomas Wagner stands to the right of Kaminari muttering, "Please be a dream." She places a hand on his shoulder giving him a warm smile, "it's going to be okay Thomas, just breath through it."

Despite his worries, Armin watches Kaminari closely as she sends a glare at the Commander, who appears to nod at her before taking control of the situation.

"QUIET! Those at the vanguard be ready, the whole area is saturated and your mission is a simple one. Defend the wall until the evacuation is done. Now all of you realise that abandonment is punishable by death. If you're going to do it, lay down your lives!"

In sync they they all put their right hand on their heart in salute, "Sir!" Then they all rush off to their groups.

All the cadets gather together before splitting into smaller groups except a short blonde who saunters over after a few hushed words with the Commander.

Mikasa is lead away into the elites group just as the blonde arrives, making a bee line towards Eren and Armin.

As soon as she arrives the rest of the cadets gather around her, "I'm just going to say this to all of you once, don't die on me. I also won't be there to help you."

Reiner grabs her shoulder in worry, "will you be with Mikasa in the elites?"

The corners of her mouth quirk up into a humourless smirk, "not quiet, I'm on a mission to find someone of importance. That's al I can tell you, the rest is classified."

"Woah! You're just kidding right?!" asks a jittery Connie.

She just shakes her head, "afraid not-" "-KAMINARI GET OVER HERE!" calls out the Commander.

The cadets frown in confusion thinking, 'what the hell do they want with Kaminari?'

"I'LL BE THERE IN A SECOND COMMANDER!" yells back Kaminari, she goes around giving them all a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"I'll see you guys after this is all over, alright?" She doesn't wait for them to respond before heading over to the Commander.

He places a hand on her shoulder, suddenly his face turns from fierce to worried. "Kaminari please be careful and bring back the Scouts and Captain Levi as soon as possible."

She smiles sadly at him giving his a firm salute, "I'll do it for humanity, just hold the bastards off until we can get back or better yet, find a way to block the hole."

He nods as the girl disappears out of sight.
