Reunions

Third Person POV-

The next morning had gone by much like the last, Kaminari not sticking around for too long and avoiding any lingering questions from the rest of the Special Operations Squad about the upcoming mission. Eren had only shared a quick 'good morning' with the girl before she went to go train.

Training had been something the blond had been doing a lot more of recently. Whether it be 3DMG, physical fitness, strength, hand to hand combat or giving her wings a stretch, she had been doing it all. Eren had joked to her that her skills were refined and she should relax, but she merely waved off his concern with a smile saying that "she needed to be in top shape to fend off Oluo's idiocy."

As Eren finishes mucking out the stables, his thoughts continue to drift off to a certain blonde. She had been on his mind more recently, although he didn't know why, he merely assumed that he was worried about her. After finishing the stalls, Eren exits to see some very familiar cadets walking past.

"I don't believe it," he mutters before turning to Oluo whose leaning against the outside of the stables. "Oluo, may I be excused to talk to my friends?" He questions hopefully. The taller man gives him a lazy wave, pal ready preoccupied with the cup in hand. "Fine, just don't take too long."

Eren gives him a salute and a 'yes sir' before rushing over to the cadets walking away from him. "HEY MIKASA, ARMIN!" He yells, the two respectively turn at the sound of their names. Their eyes widening at the sight of their favourite suicidal maniac, "Eren!"

The said boy smiles, thrilled to see his friends once again. "Man, am I glad to see you guys!" He exclaims, Mikasa suddenly latching onto his hand, "Eren have they mistreated you in anyway? Like subjecting you to any cruel experiments or some sort of mental anguish?"

Eren frowns "No, not at all." A snort can be heard from above, making the trio look towards the roof of the stable, only to find Kaminari sitting there comfortably. Her feet swinging back and forth as she sits on the edge, her white feathery wings hanging lazily either side of her. "If anyone is in mental anguish following his arrival it'd be me. Honestly Mikasa, how do you deal with him a regular basis?" She asks jokingly.

Mikasa and Armin smile at their comrade, but were still a little wary of being around a girl who had lied to them for three years. But both had to admit that her wings were quiet a sight. Both silently marvel at the sight of the angelic wings whilst Eren on the other hand just chuckles, quiet use to her antics, before waving her down, "get down from there Kaminari. You know Levi doesn't like you hanging about up there."

She yawns but obliges, pushing herself off the roof, causing a few screams of shock to emit from the cadets a distance away. But at the last second, her wings flick out to soften her landing before they lower so that the end of the feathers skim the ground.

Armin removes his hand from his chest, "you almost gave me a heart attack!" He exclaims, she just sends him a smile. "I'll try remember to give you a warning next time." She faces Eren with a mocking expression of her face. "Levi is just pissed that he can't sit on buildings to be taller than everyone."

A dark look crosses Mikasa's face at the mere mention of the Captain's name. "That pipsqueak took things way too far. I will make him pay for Eren one day." Almost immediately Kaminari sends her a dirty look, "over my dead body." Armin places a hand on the blonde's shoulder, "please calm down Kaminari, Mikasa didn't mean it like that."

Kaminari gives him a rueful smile but steps towards Mikasa, "nope she was serious and so am I."

Eren jumps between the two, knowing that Kaminari owed everything to Levi and wasn't going to let Mikasa even think of hurting him. "Hold on, you mean Captain Levi? Hehe, I suggest you don't speak about him like that around Kaminari, they are kind of close." Mikasa frowns, donning a puzzled expression as the rest of the 104th Trainee cadets finally come back after finding that they'd lost the two and seen the blonde jumping from the roof. "Hey Eren-" Sasha greets before looking at Kaminari dumbfounded, just like the rest of the cadets that didn't know she was alive.
