Third Person POV:

"Long story, huh?" Eren muses, his dark green orbs not once leaving the emerald green ones opposite him. He leans back on the couch slightly, minding Captain Levi's arm that's still extended on the back of the chair. "I have plenty of time."

With a sigh she leans back against the wall, crossing her legs. "I can't remember anything before I was six years old, except my name and age. I don't remember a mother, father, brother or sister. From as far back as I could remember, I was alone. I lied when I told you I lived in an orphanage in Shinganshina, I lived in the underground." She pauses for a moment for the information to sink in for Eren, who remains silent for her to continue.

"The underground is a subterranean city beneath Mitras. It's not a nice place to be but i was lucky, I got by on what little scraps I could scavenge. About half a year later I made 'friends' with some local thugs, you see they used me to snatch things because I was quick and small so I could get in and out unseen most of the time. But that all changed when i turned seven. It was then that I discovered I had wings.

I was stabbed by a member of the Military Police, mind you I almost died, because I stole from him and it was like instinct took over. I just remember getting really angry, I stole his blade and killed him. Then I ran, I was cornered upon the roof of one of the many brothels and I jumped-"

"-What do you mean you jumped?! You could've died!" Eren exclaims.

Kaminari chuckles shking her head, "not quiet Eren. You see, I was quiet notorious for a seven year old, known as the angel of the underground. Nobody knew who I was, besides two of my friends, until that moment. The military police called in the Scouts because I was apparently, "exceptionally tricky" to catch and that was where I met Levi and Erwin."

"You were hard to catch, especially since you could just fly away but we still managed to net you." Levi says with a slight smile as he remembers that day very well. Kaminari smiles at the ravenette before turning her attention back to Eren. "I was scared out of my mind, especially when the bastards of the military police literally harpooned my wings." She visibly shudders in remembrance.

"The bastards almost tore them off as they dragged me to the ground." She spits out angrily as Erwin continues, "you have to understand Eren that even though she was a little girl we couldn't take any chances. She was in a lot of trouble, both medically and with the law. The Mp's wanted to kill her then and there, but Levi and I wouldn't allow it." He finishes.

Kaminari nods, "I was then brought to the court house where Premier Zackly was presiding. Naturally, the Military Police wanted to dissect me but Erwin thought I could be useful, if given the proper training. Luckily, the Scouts won custody of me and I was then put under the care of Levi.

About a year later, when I was eight, I was brought out on my first expedition. It....it was a bloodbath, one of the worse I've experienced." She reveals, her hands begin trembling unconsciously making Eren concerned for her well being. But she doesn't allow him time to say anything.

"I was put under the care of a woman named Lindel and I lost my whole squad that day, her included. All it took was a swarm of abnormals and a few smaller titans to pick us off and we were a gonna. The memory is still fresh in my mind." She lets out an emotionless chuckle at the memory.

~~~Flashback~~~
Her eight year old self glared daggers into the back of the ginger haired lady, Lindel Rhodes, but stops when black smoke is seen in the distance. "Captain, an abnormal!" She says scared. Lindel growls in frustration, "why can't the batards just lay off for one day?! Emmit, fire the flare! Everyone stay close and stay sharp!"
"Sir!" Kaminari gulps nervously as her eyes flicker to the right of the squad as an unsettling feeling rests in her stomach. She squints her eyes as they lock onto the abnormal. "TO YOUR RIGHT LINDEL!" She screams in fright.
"There's two behind us, one abnormal one in the six meter class." Another voice yells. The monsterous titans barrel through the group, taking our atleast half of them in one fell swoop as Lindel yells for them to try out run Titans.
"It's not working Lindel! We have to go through the forest to at least stand a chance!" A guy yells but Lindel wasn't paying attention as she's bitten in half by the abnormal. Kaminari is swatted off her horse and uses her wings to catch herself mid air but lands next to Lindel's dying figure.
Lindel was missing half of her body from the waist down, as she bleeds out. Kaminari cradles her captain's head and holds her hand softly, "I'm so sorry Lindel, if only I was quicker you'd be alright." Tears stream freely from Kaminari's emerald orbs.
Lindel lifts a bloodied hand to Kaminari's pale face, "you did y-your b-best t-t-thank-y-you." Kaminari sobs harder as she sees the light in the woman's eyes go out. She's dead.
The little blonde gentle places her down and turns to see the rest of her comrades are being eaten and crushed around her, watching as they are slurped up by the disgusting and foul humanoid creatures. Her body shakes viciously as she cries silently, whispering. "Please just kill me," repeatedly.
But her wishes weren't heard as the beasts finish off her living comrades, leaving the dead.
When she next looked up, the sun was beginning to set and the titans still just hung around the area. She was covered in Lidel's blood as Levi and Erwin's squads arrived and slaughtered the remaining beasts.
Once the area was safe all eyes rest on the lone surviving figure in the middle of the bloody field. A man who Kaminari recognises as Dolton, Lidel's husband, approaches the girl furiously. "You... You monster! You killed them all didn't you!?" Kaminari's eyes widen in disbelief but she cannot manage to stutter out a response as the man grabs the front of her uniform, lifting her off the ground.
"I'll KILL YOU!" He screams in her face as he feels back to lunch her, a small voice distracts him and the rest of the Scouts. "Good, then get it over with already. Kill me," she says emotionlessly. The man throws her down as if she were on fire, ready to pounce on the child but is held back by other Scouts. "That's enough Dolton." Erwin calls out authoritatively as Levi approaches the blood spattered blonde.
He wordlessly crouches down to her level, takes out a handkerchief and begins wiping Lindel's blood from the girl's cheek. Everyone watches in silence as he cleans her face free from blood before picking her up, like you would do with a small child, and sits her on his horse before hoping on behind her. "We're both small so we should be fine to ride back Erwin." He informs the Commander who nods appreciatively.
"Okay, move out!" Kaminari sighs, leaning back against Levi slightly as exhaustion from the day's horrors begins taking its tole. "It's okay," Levi mumbles. "I won't let anything happen to you."
