Tuesday afternoon came earlier than expected. It means that we have to go back to Manila na. We have classes the following day and as much as we would like to stay and cut our classes, we know that we can't do that. Dad has zero tolerance over cutting classes. He even said that he didn't cut classes before. Pero siyempre, hindi nag-agree si mommy. She said dad was cutting his classes before para lang ihatid at sunduin siya ni daddy sa lahat ng classes niya. Talk about possessive.

"Don't believe everything that your mom says. I was merely late for my classes but I'm not complaining at all. Besides, being late is different than cutting classes right?"

"Whatever dad." Walang gana naming sagot ni kuya sa kanya. We didn't believe his explanations and it just caused mom to laugh out loud.

"See? I told you Dwight! Our children are bright. They know when you're lying."

"Aish. Magsialisan na nga kayo! Georgina, mag-uusap tayo mamaya." Sagot ni daddy and I had to stop myself from laughing because of that. Parang bata naman kung umasta 'tong si daddy e. Napikon agad sa sinabi ni mommy sa kanya.

"Hindi ka na ba sasama sa Manila? We still have to check the venue for the debut of Kat." Mom asked dad but he didn't answer. Patuloy lang siya sa pagbabasa kuno ng newspaper. Hindi naman na siya kinulit pa ni mommy. She just transferred her attention to other things.

"Yung cooler ba nasa sasakyan na?"

"Yes po. Nilagay na namin ni kuya kanina."

"Okay. Let's go." Yaya sa amin ni mommy tapos naglakad na kami palabas ng bahay. Si daddy, nandoon pa rin sa loob ng bahay at parang walang balak na umalis sa kinauupuan niya.

Mom chose to ride shotgun so I was seated at the backseat and kuya was obviously the driver. Magcoconvoy na lang sa amin si AJ pabalik ng Manila. Mom insisted na kay AJ na lang ako sumabay but I begged off. Minsan na nga lang kami magkasabay sabay as a family sa sasakyan tapos itutulak pa niya ako papunta kay AJ.

When kuya started the car, I was hoping that dad would act like an adult na. That he would stop throwing a fit just because napikon siya sa sinabi ni mommy with him cutting classes when they were still in college. Ilang minuto rin kaming tumengga sa labas ng bahay umaasa na lalabas na si daddy at ipipilit niya na siya na ang magdadrive. But I guess hindi talaga lahat ng inaasahan mo, nagkakatotoo.

"Liam, let's go. Stop waiting for something that might never come." Sabi ni mommy then kuya started driving kahit na alam kong labag sa kalooban niya.

When we were in the expressway na, my phone started ringing. Pagtingin ko kung sino yung tumatawag, si daddy pala. As much as I want to answer his call, hindi ko naman magawa. Baka kasi maging overdramatic na naman si mommy e.

To: Daddy

Dad, why were you calling?

I can't answer your call.

Mom is kind of sensitive right now.

From: Daddy

Nasaan na kayo?

I'm about to follow you.

To: Daddy

Err. I'm really not sure dad.
