Still waiting. It's been 3 months now.
It was Stevens birthday last week. We invited Connie round. And Greg. For most of the day we sat in silence. Waiting for Steven to come back. We all tried to smile. As becoming emotional, wouldn't help the situation.
We all sat around the coffee table and placed Stevens gem, on a pillow, on the coffee table. I gave Amethyst some cake. She refused. So I ate it. Yes I didn't like it as I knew that we get all the energy we need from our gems. And I don't like it. But I did it for Steven.
Yesterday I sat on the couch. Watching his gem. What was unusual though was that Stevens Gem began to shake. I called the other two in. They saw the same. It began to float in the air. Garnet took off her shades to see it for herself. Through their eyes. Suddenly the Gem stopped rising and slumped to the ground. Garnet leaped and caught it. Nothing. Garnet dropped her shades on the floor and walked into her room. Cradling Steven gem. Holding it close to her as she shut the door.
Amethyst and I just stared at each other.
