'Have a great day at work, Becs!', Chloe smiled as she pulled up outside of the studio.
'Thanks, man. See you later'
The redhead was in the most bubbly and bright of moods- her face was practically radiating sunshine as she drove off to work. Every song being played on the radio was her favourite, and every traffic light hit green just as she reached it.
Today was her day.
When she arrived in her classroom, the students in her first class were focused and respectful of each other, and every one of them handed in completed homework.
It couldn't possibly get better, right?
Right.
After a few hours at school, she was climbing into her car when she noticed a stream of notifications on her phone screen. The first notification was from one of her social media accounts, and it was telling her she had been tagged in a photo. The second informed her that some of her friends had commented on it.
Not thinking much about it, Chloe opened up her account to see what photo she had been tagged in. She assumed it would be a random photo from Emily's party of her singing or acting generally stupid/drunk. She was almost correct.
The picture was of her kissing some guy she couldn't even recognise. Desperately, she tried to think of his name, but she couldn't get her brain working to remember the moment it happened. She looked at the comments her friends had left.
SAM ADAMS: What a dick move, Riley.
KAYLA EVANS: I don't know what she sees in you!Riley had posted the photo, and had ever-so-kindly accompanied it with a disgusting caption.
'...When you're on a break so she decides to sleep around', Chloe read the caption aloud with a melancholy tone.
Chloe's eyes began to well up as she saw more comments below the snapshot. There were almost a hundred to scroll through, and most of them were made by Riley's mates, who weren't quite as supportive of the redhead. They threw around the 's' word and argued with anyone who disagreed with them.
After putting her phone on the passenger seat, Chloe sobbed to herself with her head in her hands. When a minute had passed, she remembered that she was still parked outside of the school, and that she needed to go home. The last thing she wanted was to risk any of her students catching her behaving in this way. The thing she wanted most was to see a certain someone whom she was sure would alleviate some pain.

As she opened the front door of the house, Chloe used the back of her hand to wipe at her damp, flushed cheeks. Just before leaving the car, she had tidied up the mascara tracks running from her eyes to her chin, and had tried her best to compose herself. The girl was expecting to see Beca, as she thought her shift was finishing earlier that day. However, the absence of her best friend didn't disappoint her.
That's okay, she thought, Now I have time to shower
So off she wandered upstairs for a soothing, warm shower. As the water flowed through her auburn hair, she could feel some of the muscle tension in her shoulders relaxing. Despite of this, she remained feeling understandably stressed. Her mind was swimming in thoughts, and she couldn't help but want Beca to come home from work as soon as possible.
Luckily for the redhead, when she stepped downstairs in her fluffy, white dressing gown with dried, clean hair, Beca was sat on the edge of the sofa.
'Hey', the brunette said, not sounding particularly happy or sad- or any emotion at all in fact.
'Hey', Chloe replied, faking a smile, 'How was your day?'
