*1 week later*

(F/n)'s POV

Over the past week, nothing really interesting has happened. Other than Gunther being overly nice to me, nothing new yet. I was still trying to solve the mystery of who likes me and which squad they're in. Petra won't tell me anything about this person!

But I need to stop thinking about it and just focus on training more for my first expedition. I believe it's in two weeks from tomorrow, I'm not exactly sure. Right now I was heading to Levi's office to give him some paperwork from commander Erwin.

I guess I really am their "personal messenger". Sighing, I knocked on his office door and waited for a reply. I waited for a few seconds and didn't hear anything.

Guess I'll just walk right in.

"Levi, I'm coming in." I called, opening the door to see that he wasn't in there.

Where could that damn cleaning pixie be?

I heard a quiet noise come from his bedroom. I walked over to his bedroom door and put my ear to it. "Levi.." I heard a muffled voice say.

Is he talking to someone?

Shrugging, I decided to leave the papers on his desk and exit his office. "Wonder who he was talking to." I mumbled to myself. "Talking to who?" I heard Hanji ask.

"Oh, I went to take papers to Levi but he was talking to someone." I replied. "Oh." She mouthed. "By the way, dinner is ready." She added. I nodded and followed her to the mess hall.

When we got there I sat down at Hanji's table. "So, I was wondering..." Hanji slowly started. "And what's that?" I asked, taking a bite of my bread. "What's your relationship with Levi?" She asked.

"We're just friends." I sighed. "Okay..." She smirked. "Why?" I furrowed my brows at her. "Just curious." She shrugged. After eating, I got up to leave and noticed Levi wasn't at his table.

In fact, the whole squad wasn't there.

They must have finished already.

As I made it out of the mess hall, I saw Levi. It looked like he was heading to the mess hall.

Was he not there at all?

I waved to him as I continued walking, but he didn't respond. He simply passed me and went inside the mess hall like I wasn't even there...like I was invisible.

I shook it off and went down the hall that led to the cadets' dorms. As I got back to my room, I saw Petra in there brushing her hair. "Hey." I smiled, sitting down on my bed. "Hi." She smiled back.

"So, the expedition is getting closer..." I tried to start a conversation. "Yeah. But don't be so nervous, it will all work out in the end." She replied. I nodded, soon followed by a quiet sigh as I lied back on my bed.

"I hope we'll be able to explore more of this world one day, y'know?" I said. "It sucks being trapped inside of these damn stone walls, knowing that we could die just after being outside for five minutes." I added.

"I know," Petra sighed. "We should explore the world together once we exterminate the Titans!" She smiled. "Wow, that would be amazing!" I replied, sitting up again.

"We definitely need to explore the world." I grinned. "Let's make it a promise, what do you say?" She asked. "Totally!" I exclaimed.

"Would you hurry it up already?"

"I'm sorry, I'm coming now."
