Chapter 6

She was beautiful

"Hey Nick"

She says smiling at me uneasily.

"Hey"

I said turning away.

"Michelle you have company"!

"Really"?

I turned around to see Michelle glaring at me.

"What"?

"You're still treating me like this"

"Amber I spoke back and didn't slam the door in your face. What do you want from me"?

She bit her lips as she looked away.

"I heard you have a girlfriend"

"Yeah Alex"

"Oh. The girl you were sleeping around with last year? You made it official"?

I stared at her looking into her eyes. They held sadness, why though?

"Yeah she's amazing"

I stated running up to my room. I'm tired of this feeling torn. I threw on my shoes and left the house to go to Alex's. I pulled up seeing Laurie's dad's car in the drive through and already I could feel something isn't right. I walked in to see Laurie on the couch eating cookies and watching t.v.

"Nicky"!

She says running to me while hugging my waist. I lifted her up and kissed her on her cheeks as she giggled.

"Where's mommy"?

"Upstairs with daddy"

I nodded and walked up the steps hearing hushed voices.

"So you got that nigga playing daddy now"?

"Shut up you know that's not true. She sees Nick as an uncle he knows he can't replace you. You are her father so you coming in here being petty is bull shit."

Alex seethes through her teeth trying not to yell for Laurie's sake. I walked up closer about to open the door for me to see this nigga grab her hips.

"How many times I gotta tell you, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I put you through. For lying about making things official. For making you think that I wanted something more. I was selfish. I wanted you fully but didn't want to claim you fully so I can be fully yours. You have every right to want nothing to do with me but you can't tell me you don't hold feelings for me."

I held my breath watching Alex placing her hands on his hands and moved them off.

"Spend time with your daughter, and just let this be co-parenting".

Before he could say something I stepped in the room knocking on the door.

"Hey babe"

I said as she hugged me and pecked my lips.

"Sup bruh"

Of course the bitch nigga said nothing back as he walked out the room.

"How much did you hear"?

She says staring up in my eyes as I backed her to the bed.

"Enough to hear you didn't answer his question but it's okay it's us against the world"

I stated to her as I dipped my head down and began kissing her neck. Maybe we were just using one another to not face reality but at the moment she makes me happy. If that means, I'm delusional then I don't ever want to come to reality. Her fingers gripped my curls as I kissed down making us both forget this reality.
