This chapter is gonna be fucking badass

The stranger slowly treads through the herd of walkers, breathing into their gas mask. With a long rope, they have successfully tied it around the necks of two walkers, their jaws hacked off by the stranger's hatchet. The rain still falls from the dark cloudy sky.

The two walkers seem to protect the stranger, camouflaging their scent.

The spaced out herd of walkers in the road only glance at the stranger as they pass by, they do not attack.

The stranger keeps on calmly walking through the herd down the road, knowing that their plan is working.

BACK AT HAVEN

The seven of us rush out onto the street, a steady pace of cold raindrops falling from the sky. DJ, Anna, and Lauren all have semi automatics, while Theo and Evan both carry knives to defend themselves.

The dozens of walkers gathered out on the street turn toward us and start to make their way to us. We run over to the right of the cafeteria towards the armory. A few walkers at the edge of the spaced out swarm block our path.
I raise my machete at the closest walker near me and slice at the side of its head.
The skull splits open, spilling dark blood onto the street. I tug the blade free and the corpse collapses.

The adults in the group attack and shoot at the walkers in our path, killing quite a few of them.
A fat male walker wearing an old chef's suit reaches its arms out for Evan.

Evan readies his knife, but starts to panic as the large walker towers over him. I quickly step forward and slash at its legs, knocking it down.
Evan sees his chance and sinks his knife into the walker's head, killing it.
"Thanks", Evan breathes over a clap of thunder.
"Don't mention it", I reply.

We run over to the others at the end of the street in front of the armory, nearly slipping on the slick sidewalk.

Eli hurrily leads us inside and immediately heads over to the row of fully automatic weapons, rifles and such.
He grabs an AK-47 and tosses it to Theo. Both Lauren and Anna pick up an assault rifle while DJ grabs a combat shotgun.
Evan awes at all the different guns, saying, "Look at all these toys."
I pick up a sub machine gun and shove into Evan's chest, telling him "Here, make yourself useful."

"Help!", I hear a woman's voice shout from outside down the street.
I run outside the armory and whip my head around and see a pack of walkers bang their hands on the glass window of the infirmary at the end of the street. Emma said she was there with Jackson and Russ.
I shout to Eli over the sound of the rain pattering on the ground, "Eli, toss me a rifle!"

Eli quickly emerges from the entrance to the armory, an assault rifle hanging from his shoulder and another in his right hand, the katana in the other. He tosses me the M-16, and I catch it one hand.
"And I found this!", Eli says loudly, holding up a machete sheath made of leather.
"How convenient", I answer as I take it from his hands, sliding the machete in the sheath and swinging the strap over my head and arm.

I ready the large rifle and turn toward the group, "I'm gonna go help Emma. Good luck."
"Don't get killed", Evan says before he runs with Theo, Lauren, Anna, and Eli toward the car lot, the sub machine gun in his hands.

I turn around on my heel and break into a run, shooting down several walkers. The bullets erupt from the rifle in my grasp.

The skulls of walkers explode in messes of blood and bone.
