The Dream

Ingrid's POV

Where am I? What's going on?

The darkness that I couldn't climb out of... It's back. I tried to climb out, but it was pointless, I just couldn't.

I sighed, closing my eyes. I suddenly heard the sound of rushing water. When I opened my eyes again, I was in a grassy field with enormous waterfalls all around me.

I recognized this place. I was on Naboo, my home planet.

How could I be here, though? I was just on a ship with...

With...

Who?

I couldn't remember anything, but that didn't matter. I began to walk around. The very sight of my home made me happy. I couldn't believe it, I was home! At long last I was home!

"Ingrid."

I spun around and about ten yards in front of me, I saw my parents. I stopped dead in my tracks. How... how?

"M-mom?" I asked. "Dad?"

"Hello, Ingrid." My mother's warm smile was almost too much to bear. How could they be here? They... they were...

"How is this possible?" I asked. "You're... you're dead." I said softly.

"I know this is confusing, Ingrid." Dad said. "But we need for you to listen to us."

"Please, this is something you have to do." Mom added. I was silent. They took that to mean that I was going to listen. Which I was. "You've grown up." Mom smiled sadly.

"I wish we could've been there to watch you grow up." Dad added.

"So do I." I responded. "It's not fair! Why did you have to...?" I couldn't bring myself you say it. It was too much. I bowed my head and felt the tears begin to well up in my eyes.

My mother rested her hands on my shoulders and I looked up at her. She wore a sad smile on her face, which just made me all the more depressed. "We have to tell you something, Ingrid." She continued.

"W... What is it?" I asked.

"You're powerful with the Force, Ingrid. You have more power than you know. You need to learn how to control it or you may end up hurting the ones you love." Mom warned me. My eyes widened.

"What?"

"You need to let the Light side guide you, Ingrid." Dad said. "Don't let the Dark side of the Force influence you like it has done to others."

"I- I won't." I was a bit stunned. "I promise I won't. Kanan- he'll help me!"

"You can never be too sure. Take a look at your friend, Ezra, for example." Mom said gently.

That's who I had been on the ship with! Ezra and my other friends! Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Zeb and Chopper! But... Ezra isn't...

"Ezra? But... Ezra... he's not- he's good!" I exclaimed.

"The Dark side pulls at him, Ingrid." Dad said. "It calls to him."

"No. No you're wrong." I shook my head. "Ezra... he would never betray his friends and he would never betray Kanan. He's a good person, and you're wrong about him."

Mom sighed. "Just... be careful, Ingrid. Be safe."

"Be wise." Dad added.

"Wait... do you have to leave now?" I asked, my heart becoming heavy.

Mom smiled and took my face in her hands. "Don't worry, Ingrid. We never actually left you, sweetheart. We'll always be with you, okay?" She told me.

A tear rolled down my cheek and I quickly embraced my mother and father. "I love you." I said softly.

"We love you, Ingrid." Dad said. "You need to wake up, now."

"O-okay." I replied.

"Don't worry, everything will be okay." Mom assured me. "Just wake up now, and remember what we told you."

My eyes flew open and I sat up quickly, trying to catch my breath. "Hey! Hey, Ingrid, calm down. You're okay!" I heard my friend's familiar voice. I looked over and saw Ezra rushing over to me. "You're okay!"

"W- what... what happened?" I asked.

"I was hoping you could tell me. You just passed out. You've been out for about a day." Ezra informed me.

A day? "Oh." I said. "Okay."

"I'm gonna go get Kanan. He'll want to know that you're awake. You just relax, okay?" Ezra told me. I nodded.

"Yeah... okay." I replied.

Ezra smiled at me before leaving the room to go get Kanan.

I couldn't stop thinking about what my parents had told me in my dream.

Ezra was a good person, he would never let the Dark side influence him. He would never betray any of us. He just wouldn't! I knew he wouldn't!

Ezra... he's just... he's a good person.

Ezra Bridger is a good person and nothing would ever change that. There wasn't a single doubt in my mind.

[soooooo it's been forever since I updated. But I finally did it. Go me.
