Chapter 5

POV of Narrator

At Maddy's house things were a little tense. She could here Isaac and Scott talking in the kitchen. "You have to tell her. It is kind of a big deal!" Scott said to Isaac. Maddy was confused. Was there another girl she didn't know about or was it something else. Maddy still couldn't help but think the worst. "I can't I really like her and this is a big deal!" Isaac said. "Hey, Maddy can we talk to you?" Scott said. Maddy got up and walked to the kitchen. "Isaac" Scott said signaling to Isaac that it was time to tell Maddy. "Um, the coach got really mad, so I'd avoid him as much as possible." He said stuttering. Maddy could tell he was lying but she decided to let it go. "Oh thanks for telling me." Maddy said and she left the kitchen. After a few minutes Scott and Isaac joined them. The rest of the night consisted of random conversations that really had no point. The first people to leave were Lydia and Allison. The only people left were Scott, Stiles, Maddy, and Isaac. "Hey Maddy can I talk to you?" Scott asked. Maddy nodded and followed Scott to the kitchen. "You couldn't do it could you?" Stiles said to Isaac. "No it's not the easiest thing to tell someone I have to plan a time and a way i'll prove it to her." Isaac said. "Dude, just say '''hey I'm a werwolf''' and wolf up. It's not that hard." Stiles said making his quirky hand gestures. "It's not that easy. It's like a huge bomb." Isaac replied. Stiles didn't argue it anymore. "Maddy, I don't want you to worry about what me and Isaac were talking about. It's just something he needs to ease into. He'll tell you soon enough, I don't want anything to change between you two though. Promise?" Scott asked. "I promise." Maddy replied. This conversation only made her more worried. When Maddy and Scott joined the other two again Scott sat across from Maddy and Maddy sat next to Isaac. Isaac put his hand on her thigh and slowly moved it back and forth. He kept looking at her and smiling. Maddy smiled back, but it wasn't like she meant it. It was the type of smile you make when something big happens and someone just pretends that nothing happened. After another hour Scott and Stiles left. "Do you want to just stay here for awhile?" Maddy said. "Sure" Isaac replied. "Alright, just act like you would at your home. My home is your home." She said. Grabbing his hand and walking up the stairs. At first Maddy tried laying on one half of the bed but Isaac didn't want that. So he wrapped his arms around her waist and cuddled her. Maddy was a bit uncomfortable with this because of what had been happening this whole day. She did have feelings for Isaac though so she let it go. Maddy could feel Isaac's heart beating. She turned around so she would be facing him and and she laid her head on Isaac's chest so Maddy could listen to his heart beat. The sound made her fall asleep.

POV of Isaac

I could tell Maddy was a little uneasy about what had gone down tonight. She knew I was lying and she was worried. I didn't want her to be scared that I was lying to her. I really like Maddy and right now I'm just confused. The fact that I'm a werwolf is doing more harm than help for me right now and I'm scared of what might happen. "Maddy?" I asked. "Hmm?" She groaned. I could tell she was tired and this might be the best time to tell her. "I.... I love you" I said. I decided I'd try making us a couple so that when I do drop the werwolf bomb she might decide that the relationship is worth it. "Um. I love you too" she said looking up at me. "What's going on Isaac?" Maddy asked. "I just thought that you should know that. Maddy I care about you so much and I never want you to forget that." I said. We both drifted to sleep for the night.
