Chapter 8

POV of Narrator

Derek rushed Maddy to the hospital. Scott's mom was there to help. "Oh my, Maddy what happened to you?" Ms. McCall asked. "Don't worry I just really need some pain medication." Maddy responded. "That's obviously something worth worrying about." Ms. McCall responded. "She took a really bad fall." Derek said winking at Ms.McCall as if to say some werwolf stuff. "Well, lets take you in for some x-rays." Ms.McCall said. "Looks like its just some bruised ribs, and a few scratches, we will give you some pain meds. Just take it easy for a few weeks." She continued. Maddy and Derek walked out to the car. "Hey, want me to drive you home?" Derek asked. "Sure, do you want to stay over for a bit? I don't really feel like being alone. My aunt will be there." Maddy asked. "I'd love to." Derek replied. The two it into Derek's car and drove to Maddy's house. When they got there Maddy noticed that the door was already unlocked. "Jennifer?" Maddy said. "In the kitchen." Jennifer said. Maddy and Derek walked into the kitchen. "Hi Jennifer." Derek said sitting next to Maddy's aunt. The 3 sat in the kitchen talking during the storm. Maddy heard someone knocking at the door. She opened it just to find Isaac standing there. "Isaac its pouring. Come inside." Maddy said closing the door being him. "I needed to see you and know that you're okay." Isaac said looking into Maddy's eyes. "I'm fine, just some bruised ribs and scratches. I'll be alright." Maddy said. Isaac leaned in and kissed her cheek really gently. Maddy pulled away. "Are you mad?" Isaac asked. Maddy shook her head and walled into the kitchen. "It was Isaac. I'll be back, I need to help him dry off." Maddy said.

POV of Maddy

"I'm going to take a shower Mads." Isaac said kissing my cheek. I didn't know what to think. I wasn't afraid of the werwolf part as much as I was afraid of the fact that he hurt me. I was not at all afraid of Scott or Derek and they were werwolves too. I don't know what will happen with me and Isaac, but I really hope everything will be fine. I love him and I don't want to lose him.

POV of Narrator

After Isaac got out of the shower he sat down next to Maddy on her bed. "I love you, and I didn't mean to hurt you." Isaac said. "But you did. I know it was practically out of your hands, but I still have the right to be a little afraid of you." Maddy said growing more and more irritated. "It was completely out of my hands! I would never try to hurt you. I could never hurt you. I kills me inside to know you are afraid of me." Isaac said yelling a bit. "It's that I'm afraid of you, I'm afraid of what you become. What if we got in a big fight and you lost your temper? What if you hurt me again? What would you do?" Maddy said yelling back at him. "You're my anchor. You help control my anger and keep me from changing." Isaac said. "But your anchor is what's making you angry. Would that change anything? I bet you don't even know because your anchor has never made you angry. Just imagine it. We get in a big fight and you turn into a wolf and hurt me. What if you even kill me? I have every right to be afraid, mad, and sad. I'm the one affected by your little outburst." Maddy yelled. "Maddy can we just calm down. I don't want to fight with you sweet heart. It hurts me to see you like this." Isaac said sitting Maddy down. Maddy took a few breathes and reached to hold Isaac's hand. Instead he pulled her into a hug. "I love you hun. I'm sorry this has happened." Isaac said. "I love you too Isaac." Maddy said looking up at Isaac. He was crying. "Hey, why are you crying?" Maddy asked whipping a tear from his face. "I just don't understand why you still want to be with me. I mean I hurt y-". "I love you Isaac, I'm in love with you. I wouldn't trade this life for anything." Maddy said interrupting Isaac. The two laid down to sleep. "I'm in love with you too and I'm the luckiest guy in the world." Isaac said. Maddy fell asleep to the sound of Isaac'a heart beating.

•• I have been so busy. This chapter took me a while. Sorry. It may seem a bit lame but without it the whole story would make no sense. Wouldn't want that. In 4 days I leave for camp. I will write as much as possible until then. I will be gone for 5-6 days. Being a councilor is so fun. Going with my best friends.
