Livy's POV

4 days later...

I'm so stupid. So, so, stupid. I spent all that time with Hayes and I didn't even get his NUMBER. I mean we were trapped in an elevator together, and I didn't ask him for his NUMBER? I attempted to DM him on Twitter and Instagram, but what's the point with all of those fans?

I asked Ashley if she got anyone's number, but she said she didn't. However, she oddly did seem suspicious...

But today's my birthday and the time to open my card. I promised my mom I would wait until it was late night, we had cake, blah blah. She was strict about it too...

So to sum up everything, people are getting really scary.

Hayes POV

I don't know how Livy has been surviving these past few days not talking to each other, I'm certainly not. But that's how it was supposed to go. It's part of my plan.

You see, I wasn't actually going to see her in 6 days. I was going to surprise her 2 days before, on her birthday.

I wanted to make sure I talked to her no time before. I didn't have Ashley's number, but Jack G did. I told Jack to tell Ashley that she has to pretend she doesn't have another souls number.

I feel so evil. But when it's all together, it's going to be one of the best feelings in both of our lives.

Ashley's POV

It was now time for me and Hayes to go over to Livy's. I'm so special I even get to record her reaction. Yep.

"Hey," I run and hug Livy, "Happy Birthday!"

"Thank you!" She gushed.

"Oh, right on time for cake!" Her mother giggled. We walked back to the kitchen and everyone was all there trying to hold in their smiles. That's right. Her brother, half brother, sister, mom, step dad, and cousin all knew and didn't tell her.

"Alright," her sister chirped, "1, 2, 3!"

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to Livy, Happy Birthday to you!"

I quickly pulled out the camera before she did anything.

Livy's POV

I reached for Hayes' card first when...

"No, you open his last." My mom commanded.

"...Are you serious?" I growled.

"Yes!" She snapped back.

So I opened all the irrelevant presents. I got candles and clothes. Joy.

"Alright time for Hayes!" I popped. Everyone laughed. Girl there was nothing funny about this. I've had 2 weights on my shoulders for the past 4 days over this piece of paper.

I pulled with a rough force on the envelope and took it out. I took a second, and then finally opened it.

"Read it out loud!" Ashley commanded.

"It's been so hard for me to think of what to write. You're perfect, and you deserve perfection. Even on the day when your perfect self came to life. So instead of me failing miserably on writing you a card, I'll be outside on your driveway waiting to hold you in my arms. Come out."

I could feel my face turning red, and my eyes starting to tear. He didn't actually do this. I watched everyone chuckle around me as I slowly got up to open the door.

I slammed it open so loud that the whole town could hear. Hayes turned around, and before he could even smile at me, I ran and hugged him with every last pump my heart had left. We weren't thinking about the fact that we were balling into each other's shoulders, or how we aren't even officially a couple. We only cared that we were there in each other's arms.
