Here are our special interviews for authors needing to be discovered!!! Check it out. :)

Hello readers! I'm Sierra of Piixie Dust Magazine! I recently "sat" down with Clove_Thenardier to ask her some questions!

Sierra: When did you join Wattpad and why?

Clove_Thenardier: My cousin, who's been taking an interest in writing, told me about wattpad through email. It seemed interesting, so I checked it out. My cousin doesn't know I've made this account though.

Sierra: Do you have a favorite character out of all of your works?

Clove_Thenardier: Hmm, that's a hard question. I'm not sure I can pick one favorite. There are so many I love. I suppose it's a tie between Emerson Rayaldi (Cheating Death), Nike Abrams (Forbidden to Live) and Adelaide Winters (Empty Chairs at Empty Tables.)

Sierra: Speaking of your works, what inspired you to write The Poison Apple?

Clove_Thenardier: Well I love fairy tales. And a while back, I was wondering about how Cinderella and Snow White could be connected to one another. I did then come up with an idea, but I never wrote it down and sort of forgot about it. Then, a few weeks ago I was playing mini golf on vacation one night with some relatives, and there were five or six of us and mini golf isn't my favorite activity. So I was bored. So I began thinking of Sleeping Beauty and began writing a story in my head about her. I wrote the story down in my laptop that night, but I forgot to save and I lost it overnight. The next day, the Sleeping Beauty story and the old Snow White and Cinderella story began combining in my mind, and Poison Apple was born. The Sleeping Beauty story idea is going to be the sequel to Poison Apple.

Sierra: Why do you like to write Hunger Games stories? What about the original made you want to write your own?

Clove_Thenardier: There was something about the Hunger Games that always just inspired me to start writing. It was like every one of the many (many, many, many) times I reread the Hunger Games, when I got up, I got up with this this-book-makes-me-want-to-write feeling. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the characters. Or the brilliant concept. Or maybe it's just the countless times I've reread that story.

Sierra: If a genie granted you 3 wishes, what would they be?

Clove_Thenardier: My first thought is to say, I want a book of mine to get published and for it to be turned into a movie, but I don't think I'd want that if I didn't earn it. So I'll have to go with a giant bowl of chocolate chip cookies, a room full to my waist in popcorn, and a gift card to Barnes and Noble.

Sierra: What do you see, as a writer or in general, in your future?

Clove_Thenardier: Getting published....I hope. I like to think that ten years or so into my future I'll be getting my first or second book published in the real world, which is a big dream of mine.

Sierra: Who is one of your favorite Wattpad authors OR your favorite book on Wattpad?

Clove_Thenardier: This is tough because there are so many books on here I love. I'll have to settle on leigh_ as my number one favorite though. It's kind of funny because her stuff is all teen fiction, which normally I don't read. But her stories, particularly Vanilla, are very well written and captivating. Her writing actually makes me want to try my hand at some humorous teen fiction myself.

Sierra: Would you rather be forced to attend a Justin Bieber concert or a One Direction concert (Seeing as you aren't a fan of either)?

Clove_Thenardier: That is a very tough question. I'm not a fan of either, even though I'll confess to listening to songs from both. In the end I have to go with Justin Bieber though, for a number of reasons. The first being, I'm afraid if, as a non-One Direction fan, I would get killed at their concert by all the Directioners. (I know not all Directioners are like that, but all the ones I know would gladly murder me if it meant they got to get tickets to the concert.) Secondly, even though I'm not a fan of JB himself, I don't mind some of his songs. (The lyrics to the song Maria always make me laugh.) Also, my sister went to a concert of his in a nearby city this past year, and she later told me JB tossed a shirt out into the audience, and had to stop singing because two girls were getting into a literal fight over it. I would have paid to see that. I suppose I might get to see the same at a 1D concert, but there's still the matter of the scary Directioners.

Sierra: What makes you a good writer? What are some of your strong points? Your qualities as a writer?

Clove_Thenardier: I don't believe I'm the best judge of my own writing, but I do think sometimes I have a problem with developing a character's voice. One of my strengths is that I have no end to ideas of subjects to write about. A while ago, maybe a few months, I was told (very politely and kindly I might add) that my writing felt a bit rushed. I've been working on that since and couldn't honestly tell if I've improved in that area. I always do my best to never make grammar mistakes or spelling mistakes.

Sierra: What advice do you give to starting writers out there?

Clove_Thenardier: Write the story you want to read. I've heard this advice many times before, and I think it's the best piece of writing advice I've ever heard. If you're stuck for an idea, take a moment to picture a book you'd like to read. Then go and write it. Also, grammar and spelling are important. I know it's hard on your iPod or iPhone, but you can edit it before you post and fix any errors. It's a bit of work, but trust me it's worth it. The last thing you want is for everyone to dismiss your story as horrible just because of a couple of spelling mistakes.

Sierra: Anything else you'd like to say?

Clove_Thenardier: No story is worthless. Every story has some potential. With some editing, maybe a little rewriting, any story can be a good one.
