"yoongi?" his mother called from the kitchen. he slid off of his bed, little feet padding the cold tile floor as he made his way over to her. when he entered the kitchen he saw his mother, straight dark hair flowing just past her shoulders, head turned away from him. "yes, mommy?" his high pitched voice called out, eyes curiously wandering around the room. his mother turned around to face him, a familiar smile taking over her face. "i love you." she told him in a gentle, loving voice.

"i love you too, mom-" he had started to say, but his voice was cut off when all of a sudden the ground beneath them shattered into a million glass pieces, sending them both plummeting down this eternal black hole. when yoongis small, seven year old body hit the ground, he found that his mother was no longer beside him. "mommy?" his tiny voice rang out, echoing eerily. he pushed himself up off the ground, running hopelessly around the endless dark room, crying and searching for his absent mother.

"shit-" yoongi panted as he sat straight up, sweat matting his blonde hair to his forehead. suddenly, the lamp beside the bed flickered on. "yoongi? are you okay?" jimins sweet voice asked him, worried eyes looking to him. yoongi looked back at him, chest heaving up and down as he tried to regain his steady breathing. "i- i just- my- my-" yoongi started to say, all of his words becoming short breaths. jimin shifted over to his side of the bed, quickly wrapping his arms around the thin boy. "what happened?" he gently whispered.

"nightmare, i th- think." yoongi answered in an unsteady voice. jimin nodded lightly, holding yoongis head to his chest to comfort him. "this is weird." jimin chuckled, seeing as usually it was jimin with the nightmare, and yoongi doing the comforting. "sorry for waking you, it- it was stupid, anyway." yoongi muttered, eyes staring out, blank stare sitting on his face. jimin sighed quietly, "no, its not. today you happened to have a bad dream, and thats okay. im here." jimin said to him, voice genuine and sincere.

yoongi nodded once, pulling away from jimins loving grasp. "thank you, jiminie." he sighed, laying back down against the pillow. jimin followed his actions, turning out the lights once more and settling back into bed. "i love you." jimin said to him suddenly. yoongis breath hitched, remembering those as the exact words his mother had said to him in his dream. he cleared his throat, pushing those thoughts away. "i love you too, jiminie." he said to him. relieved that this time, he didnt loose someone he loved.

when they both eventually awaken for the second time, they get a call from the record company that wanted to work with yoongi. "hello?" jimin says into the receiver, yoongi standing beside him, anticipation making his heart beat fast. "okay, sure! thank you." jimin says, before hanging up. he turns to yoongi and practically squeals. "they want you to bring in four tracks for you to record today!" he said excitedly, yoongis eyes going wide. he quickly runs off to figure out which tracks to take.

track 1: nevermind - rap

track 2: tomorrow - rap+vocals

track 3: dead leaves - rap+vocals

track4: let me know - rap+vocals

"yoongi, some of these tracks require you to have a vocalist as well. is that something you can do?" mr. jeon asks when yoongi presents the tracks to him. yoongi nods calmly. "thats what my boyfriend is here for!" he smiles over at jimin, who has surprise evident on his face. "i- what? i mean- i- i could try.." jimin stutters, nervousness making its way into his chest. yoongi smiles at him again, he wasnt worried, he knew jimin was a great vocalist. jimin just didnt think so.

so, they set up an appointment with mr. jeon for later that week, when jimin would go in to record his vocals. when they left the studio hours later, hand in hand, jimin decided it would be a good idea to pick up some food on the way. korean food was the most convenient at the moment (obviously, because they were in korea) so, they just went with that.

"annyeong, may i order the number four bibimbap with whole grain rice instead of white and one order of gimbap, to-go please?" yoongis deep, and rather polite, voice rang through the small store. the middle aged lady behind the counter nodded, smiling warmly as she extended her hand to take his credit card. jimin almost scolded yoongi for not asking him to pay, but kept it to himself, not wanting to argue. when the lady handed them their food inside of a plastic to-go bag, they smiled gratefully at her and left the restaurant. (a/n tbh i just used some of the most generic korean dishes ever oops.)

"how're the sititches healing up?" yoongi asked on their way home, looking over to jimin as they walked. jimin lifted a hand up to casually graze the stitches on his head. "pretty good, i think. thankfully not so noticeable because of my fringe." he responded, nodding. there was still a pang of guilt in jimins heart every time he thought about that night, because even though it was all mostly a blur he still remembered seeing how dark the circles under yoongis eyes were and the distress all over his face. he hated to be a burden to him.

as if reading his mind, yoongi sighed loudly. "stop worrying, jiminie. its not your fault." yoongi said to him, stern yet still gentle, eyes ahead. jimin nodded slowly, trying his best to believe him. but it was hard to, when yoongi just looked so god damn tired.
