I looked in the mirror and scrunched my nose at what I saw. Regretting my actions, I brought my hand up to my nose and tried to massage it. It was now swollen and a light shade of purple. My lip had a small cut on the top. The fact that it was small didn't mean that it didn't hurt, because it certainly did!
I reached for my liquid foundation and attempted to hide the purple. Keyword being attempted, because I failed miserably. I sighed giving up and reached for my bag. I made my way downstairs and dashed through the door. I was thankful that I hadn't tripped down the stairs.
Thank goodness I didn't get spotted by my mom. I'm sure she wouldn't have questioned me much but I didn't want her to stare at me as if I had three heads. Well in this case, having a nose that looked like squidward's.
I threw my bag to the passenger seat and began making my way to school. I don't know what I am going to do when I see Ryder. As of now I feel like I will punch him as soon as I see him. But being my father's daughter, I decided to be the bigger person and kill him. With kindness that is.
I pulled up to the parking lot to see my friends standing in front of my spot. I gave them a confused look as they usually wait inside. It was then that I noticed Matt pulling a hesitant Ryder toward my friends. Jenna raised her eyebrow at him and Jane just shook her head. What are they doing?
I got out of my car and slowly walked toward them.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked.
Jane smiled at me and moved aside so that Ryder was clear in my view. Matt pushed him forward making him stumble in front of me. As if on instinct, my arms reached out in front of me and helped him steady himself.
"Ryder has something he wants to tell you" Jenna said.
I brought my gaze up to his eyes. His blue eyes stared back at me. I wanted to get closer to him just so that I can get a better look at his eyes, but stopped myself from doing so.
"I'm..... I'm.... gah" He looked like he was trying to force himself to say something.
"Just spit it out, will you?!" Jenna snapped. Jane grabbed her arm and pulled her away from Ryder.
"You look like Squidward" He blurted out. I raised my right eyebrow and took a deep breath. I feel as if killing this guy with kindness will be a difficult thing to do.
Jane walked up to him and smacked the back of his head. It was Jenna's turn to pull Jane away. Ryder glared at her then focused his attention back on me.
"I'm sorry that I tripped you" He whispered.
"If saying sorry was enough they're wouldn't be any laws or police officers"
I watched as anger flashed through his eyes. I tried holding in my smirk. That's right Ryder, taste your own medicine!
Alright Jeanette, we agreed that we were going to kill him with kindness. I groaned inwardly and tried to give him a smile.
"I'm kidding! You don't have to apologize to me! I'm very clumsy myself"
He gave me a confused look. I looked back at my friends who were giving my a questioning glare.
"I don't?"
"Nope! I mean, it's not like any permanent damage was done!"
"okay?" He stared at me as if I just told him I'm a secret street fighter. Though that would be bad ass, I do not have any physical strength whatsoever.
"We should head to class, we don't want to be late" I intertwined my arm with Ryder an pulled him toward our first class. I felt his stare on the side of my head. I bet he looks like a confused puppy! I kept a smile on my face until we arrived to class. Being kind to him might just be my ticket to annoying the shit out of him!
