A/N: I dedicate this chapter to my cousin Kathy who recently found me on wattpad and has been bugging me to update!

This chapter is in Jane's point of view. She is one of Jeanette's friends.

Jane's POV*

I squealed as I spotted Jeanette walking into the party. I had arrived a while back with Matt and he was nowhere to be seen. After what happened I wouldn't be here either.

"Jeanette!"

I stumbled towards her and wrapped my arms around her. She gave me a once over before telling me to sit down. I simply ignored her and tried my best to get to the bathroom without falling. I closed the door behind me and stared at my reflection on the mirror. My eyeliner and lipstick were smudged and my hair was in a ratted mess. This night alone is a mess.

I wonder how Matt would be feeling right now. Instead of being drunk at this stupid party I should be comforting him. I'm such a terrible person.

*Flashback*

"Jane hurry up if you want to get there in time!" Matt whined.

I rolled my eyes and pulled my room door open. He sighed in relief and pulled me into hug.

"You look gorgeous"

I felt my cheeks redden as he placed a small peck on my lips. I gave him a questioning look.

"You're mom is watching" he whispered.

I nodded my head before locking my fingers with his and walking down to my living room. Mom came down seconds later and smiled at us.

"Don't you two just look wonderful together?" Mom said as she wiped fake tears away.

I rolled my eyes before grabbing my purse.

"Mom we're going to a party not prom"

She made her way toward me and placed a small kiss on my cheek.

"I know but you two are just too cute!"

"Mom you sound like Jeanette when she watches her Korean dramas"

She lightly smacked my arms before pushing us to the door.

"Now you kids have fun, well not too much. If you do, use protection!"

Matt's cheeks grew red. My mom just has to find ways to make everything awkward. Especially with Matt!

"I'm sorry about my mom" I said as we got in his car.

He gave me a small smile and turned the car on.

"It's not her fault she doesn't know"

I nodded my head in agreement. Sometimes I felt bad for lying to my mom. I know she loves Matt and would love to see us married one day.

"We're here"

I opened the car door and waited for Matt to get out. We made our way to the entrance and noticed we were a bit early. A few people were barely getting their drinks on. I pulled Matt towards the kitchen and served us some drinks.

"We should dance!"

Matt pulled me toward the dance floor and we began moving to the beat. I gave Matt a questioning look as he came to a quick stop.

"That guy keeps undressing you with his eyes"

I followed his stare which seemed to land on a cute and tall brunette. A smiled crept up to my face as I looked back at Matt.
