"Come on Mavis! This is going to be fun!"

"Okay?"

"And pick up your feet when you walk."

"Ugh.....soooooooo tired."

She gave me a sideway look and I sighed, realizing that I hadn't spoken as quietly as I meant to.

"I'm sorry Emma, I'm just really tired."

"I can understand that, honey. I didn't get much sleep last night either."

I wasn't sure how I liked being someone's 'honey' but I knew I was being a bit rude to her so the least I could do was let it slide.

"Come on. This is fun!"

Twenty stores later, I had an entirely new wardrobe and more pairs of shoes than one person could wear in a life time. Most of the clothes were short sleeved shirts and short skirts, clothes that I wasn't comfortable in, but that I bought solely to make Emma happy. She didn't understand the need to cover my wrists from prying eyes so people didn't question and pity me simply because of my backstory.

"That was sooooooo much fun!"

It hadn't been for me. It was excruciating, trying on different outfits and having Emma coo over them or scrunch her brow and throw another piece of clothing at me to try on. At least Emma was happy but my feet hurt and my head pounded from the high pitched squeals form the various groups of girls in the mall.

"We should come again sometime."

"I think I have enough clothes to last me until I graduate college."

"You're so funny."

Emma laughed and I laughed along, pretending that I had enjoyed our trip but as soon as we got home, I dressed quickly in my skating clothes. My skating clothes consisted of stretchy black jeans and a plain long sleeve skirt, because they were comfortable and easy to move in.

"Okay Mavis. Let's go find that skate park you were promised."

Mavis's shopping experience is based off my own. Most days when I go shopping with my mom, I want to pass out after the first store. Plus I normally hurt my feet or legs whenever we go the mall and then there is the problem of buying things you'll never.....This is why I prefer bookstores :P

Anyways, we meet Oliver soon! Yaaaaaaaaaay! I've had that specific chapter written for a long time and I'm really happy that it's going to be published soon. Until then, bye my strawberry shortcakes! (Or tall-cakes because I don't know how tall you people are :P)
