"Hi."
"Hello?"
"You're new here."
"You'd think that everywhere I went there was a sign on my forehead that read 'new'"
"You kind of do."
My hands instantly went to my forehead.
"What?!"
"No, no. Calm down. This is a small town where very one knows everyone."
"Oh."
"..."
"..."
We stared at eachother akwardly, helmets in one hand, boards in the other.
"Soooooo...you skate."
"Isn't that a bit obvious?"
"I was just trying to make civilized conversation."
"Ahhhhhaaa."
"Well what else was I supposed to say? 'Oh, mysterious stranger, you're so mysterious.' Is that the kind of reaction you normally get from people?"
"My family owns most of this town."
"Is that suppose to impress me?"
"Uhhh...yeah. It kinda was. It normally works on most people...."
He rubbed the back of his neck clearly uncomfortable and I couldn't help but smirk.
"Oooooo, the new girl can make Mr.Rich-pants embarrassed."
"Hey, my name is not Mr.Rich-pants. It's Oliver Landon."
"Mhhhhhmmmm. Cool."
"..."
"..."
"Are you going to tell me your name?"
I shook my head and flashed a grin.
"Nope."
I popped the p just to annoy him and winked before turning away.
"Hey, wait! Where are you going mysterious skater girl?"
"To Neverland."
"Where?"
I waved towards him without turning around and just kept walking, not bothering to answer his question.
"Bye Mr.Rich-pants!"
I could hear an amused but exasperated sigh coming from behind me.
"Bye Skater Girl!"
