Emma's POV

Hook and I spent approximately 2 hours at the Tavern talking to each other. He told stories about his adventures in Neverland and being a pirate/thief. I told him about growing up in the tower but left out the important detail of having magic.

One of the workers of the Tavern came running in with one of the royal guards. Luckily, we were in the corner of the tavern with a door nearby. "Where is he! Where is the thief, Captain Hook? I'll turn this place upsidedown if I have to!" The man said as he slammed his fist on the table across the tavern.

Hook took my arm and pulled me under the table. "Bloody hell,  they're after me. We gotta get out of here, Swan. Follow me but do not let anyone see you." He said sternly as I nodded in response.

He crawled out from under the table and ran out the door. When I was leaving, I tripped on my cloak and someone noticed me. "He's getting away. GO!" The man sent out guards to chase after us. We both ran into the forest until we came to a dead end that led us to a cave.

"We're going in there?" I quietly yelled. He nodded in return. We both turned around and saw a group of 15 men with castle uniforms running our way. He took my hand and we ran into the cave. As we got close to the end, I noticed a cliff that was below us. There was a dam behind us and waterway canals in front of us. The guards came close to us with their swords pointed at us. We slowly walked away from them as Hook was looking around for a way to get us out of this mess.

Hook's POV

"Emma, do you trust me?" I said frantically as I reached my hand out to her.

"Yes..." She said cautiously and unsure of herself. She gave me her hand and I pulled her close. I pulled her into my arms and jumped into the water below us.

Once we were out of the water, the guards angrily looked around trying to find another way to get down here.

"You ok, Swan?" I asked as I helped her get out of the water.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you." She said and took her cloak off to ring it out.

When I was looking for a way to get out of here, I saw the one and only Rumpelstiltskin appear behind Emma.

"Hello, dearies!" He said as he giggled.

"Who's that?" Swan asked as gasped at his bloody awful appearance.

"The all-mighty Dark One. Let's just say that I've made many enemies throughout the years." I said as the Dark One giggled.

"Ah, Emma. You've grown up so quickly. Such a shame that you're going to die. As for you, Hook. I've been waiting for this day for nearly 30 years." He laughed and with the flick of his hand, a hole appeared in the dam. Water rapidly started flowing from the dam.

"RUN!" I took off running with Emma right behind me. A huge wave from the dam formed and crashed onto the castle guards. I took her hand as led her into a cave. Near the cave, a huge rock crashes into the entrance of the cave, covering our only chance of getting out.

Emma's POV

The water began to quickly fill the cave. I ran to the back of the cave as Hook tries to find a way out.

"This is pointless, Hook. I should've never left the damn tower the in the first place."

"Maybe you should learn to trust me, Swan. I'm going to find a way to get us out of here. After all, I am a survivor." He said with his signature smirk. As he was scavenging for an opening, the water quickly started to fill the cave.

"This is all my fault. I-I'm so sorry Hook." I said as I started crying. I am so stupid for thinking that I could leave the tower.

"It's Killian." He said, looking at the water that was filling the cave.

"Huh?" I replied with confusion in my voice.

"My real name is Killian Jones. Ever since I lost my hand, everyone nicknamed me Captain Hook. I haven't been called by my real name is centuries." He said calmly.

I quietly laughed and said, "I have magic." Right after I said that I quickly realized that I know how to get us out of here. "I have magic. I know how to get us out of here! Killian, take off the bracelet." I said loudly as he used his hook to take off the bracelet that blocks my magic.

We took our last breath as I focused on getting us out of here. Mother always told me to focus on what needs to be done as if you were going to die to get the magic to work in an instant. I imagined myself and Killian out of the cave and heading to the ball. I imagined the rocks shattering, creating a hole for us to get out of. White magic started flowing through my hands, creating light in the cave. I swam over to the rocks and made a hole for Killian and me to leave the cave.
