Emma's POV

Killian and I sat near the docks of the town with our feet in the water as the sun barely started to set. I stared at the water as the sun was setting. "It's beautiful, isn't is Swan?" He asked me as he looked at me.

"Yeah... Thank you for bringing me here." I said as I looked over at him, smiling. I turned back to the water. "I've watched the sunset every night out of the tower for as long as I can remember, but I've never seen one this beautiful before," I said in amazement.

"I'm glad you're enjoying the view." He said smiling. I slowly scooted closer to him as I continued to stare at the reflection on the water from the sunset. I put my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me.

I smiled and said, "I've never had this much fun and adventure in these two days. Once again, thank you, Killian."

He laughed and said, "Love, you say that too much."I contently sat there in his arms and enjoyed the peaceful view of the ocean. Before I knew it, bells started ringing from the center of town, which caught both of our attention. I wiggled out of his grasp and got up to look at the commotion. The king and queen made their way into town with a lantern in their hands. They lightly tossed the lantern into the sky. The queen buried her face into the king's chest and he buried his face in the crook of her neck. A little boy around 6 ran up to them and hugged the queen's leg. She picked him up and kissed his cheek as he wiped away her tears.

I looked around beguiled by the lights that lit the town. I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Killian holding a lantern. I gasped and smiled at him. "You didn't-"

He cut me off and said, "I wanted to, Swan, don't think you can change my mind so easily." He smirked at me and handed me the lantern. I lit the lantern with my magic. He smiled at me as I lit the lantern. He gave me a dubious look as I handed him the lantern. "Come on, don't make me toss the lantern alone. You got it and brought me here." He put his hands on the lantern as we both tossed the lantern into the night sky. "My life has finally begun," I thought to myself as the lights beautifully lit the sky in the peaceful village.
