Emma's POV

I stood in awe of the kingdom as we came to the entrance. "Wow... This is..." I took a deep breath and said, "I've been dreaming of this moment my whole life. Thank you for taking me here, Killian." I said as I turned to him and smiled.

"Not an issue, love." He said and smiled back. We continued our way into the kingdom. As we were walking, I noticed someone from one of my storybooks roaming around in the village.

I ran behind Killian in slight fear. "Bloody hell swan, why are you hiding?"

"The Evil Queen is here? I thought Snow White hated her.." I said with minimal fear and confusion in my voice.

He laughed and said, "Your mother must have really brainwashed you, Swan. The 'Evil Queen' changed her ways when she fell in love about 18 years ago. Snow forgave her and now the Evil Queen, who is now known as Regina, lives in the castle with her outlaw husband Robin Hood along with his child Roland and their child Henry. A perfect example of someone who holds great magic and has a happy ending."

I didn't reply, just nodded. He got in line to buy some food for later. I wandered off a bit and went over to a huge mosaic on the side of a wall that was in the center of the village. There was a picture of the king and queen holding two newborn girls. They both have blonde hair. One has bright blue eyes while the other has emerald green eyes. A little girl and her mother walk up to the mosaic holding flowers. "These are for the lost princesses, mommy. I hope they come back." She said and then hugged her mother.

The king and queen came into the kingdom with two bouquets of flowers. Queen Snow White held pink roses while King David held white roses. "Good afternoon, your majesties," I said as I bowed to them.

"Please, don't be so modest. Are you from here? Everyone in this kingdom knows that we don't like being treated like royalty, but more as friends." The Queen said kindly.

"I'm not really from here, but it is very nice to meet you both. I'll see you at the ball tonight." I waved and went back over to Killian. He kindly gave me a tour of the village, since we had time to waste before the ball tonight.

Around midday, I came across people dancing in the center of the village square dancing to the music of the guitar and flute. From what I've heard, this day is celebrated day and night to honor the lost princesses in hopes of coming home.

I looked over at Killian, smirking and pulling his hand over towards the crowd. "No, I'm not dancing with the villagers, swan." He said as he yanked his hand back and crossed his arms.

"Aw, come on. Loosen up and have some fun." I said to him. I walked closer to him and gave him puppy dog eyes.

He threw his head back in frustration and said, "Fine, ok."

"Yay! Let's go" I said eagerly. I took his hand and ran into the center of the crowd. He spun me around and I laughed at his sudden action. We continued to dance and enjoy our peaceful time together before the intriguing ball.
