"This is not the master bedroom, so it's a bit small." Lindia said as she led me to my room. "Here we are."

My eyes widened in surprise, "Are you kidding me? This room is huge!"

It's a loft bedroom, with a living room, dining room and a small kitchen on the first floor. I've always wanted to have a loft bedroom, they just look so cool!

"I'm glad you like it. The butler will bring your bags in a few minutes. I have to attend to my lessons, so I'll see you at dinner."

With that, she went out and closed the door behind her, leaving me to explore my new room.

First, I walked around the first floor. It has a living room with a fireplace, bookshelf and TV. Next to the living room was a dining table, a small kitchen with bar stools, and a set of stairs leading to the second floor.

The bedroom is on the second floor, with the bed against the railing overlooking the dining area, a closet next to it, a desk with a small bookshelf, and a bathroom.

I opened the closet to find the clothes I had in the vacation house, but I didn't like the way it was organized, so I dumped everything on my bed, then got to work.

I was halfway done when a series of knocks called me downstairs. Carefully putting down the dress I was about to hang, I headed down and opened the door.

"Here are your bags, Princess Beatrice." A middle-aged man handed me the bags with my new clothes, bowed, and left.

He was so quick and swift that I didn't have time to ask for his name, nor tell him that calling me Beatrice is just fine. Holding the bags and climbing the stairs was a challenge, since they are more like platforms, with gaps in between.

I finished putting my "old" clothes into my closet, and for started on putting the new ones in. Organizing my closet didn't take as much time as I thought, so I picked a book from the bookshelf on my desk and snuggled in bed with a warm cup of tea.

I didn't notice the passing of time, until the room suddenly dimmed, notifying me of evening approaching.

I left my book face-down on the bed and got ready for dinner. Thinking that only my "family members" would be there, I put on a black sleeveless lace dress, with a dark blue strapless dress underneath. I didn't bother getting dolled up or putting on accessories, only a pair of those strappy black heels that Louis gave me.

Closing the door behind me, I slowly walked down to hall, and met with an intersection. While I was debating on whether to turn right or left, I felt someone's presence behind me.

"Hello, Louis." I turned around, meeting with his silver eyes.

"Hello, Beatrice. Are you heading towards the dinning room now?" He asked politely.

"Yes, but I don't know which way to go." I started walking down the left hallway, when he suddenly grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"I'm also heading there, so I suggest you follow me instead." I could almost make out a smirk on his face.

"Okay."

After going down the stairs and down another hallway, we reached the dining room. As soon as Isabell saw me, she got up and hugged me.

"I'm so glad you're here. My father has some things to discuss with all of us. Lindia's not here, because she caught the flu." She pulled me to the seat next to her, ans gave me a quick introduction of the people seated at the table.

Queen Elizabeth, King Robert, and her cousins Jackson and Olivia. Lindia, Isabell and my tutors we're also there, since they are also Dukes and Duchesses.

"Ahem. So, as you've all known, my daughter Beatrice eloped with a villager a few years back. But the girl in the prophecies has come here in place of my daughter, so from now on, she's Beatrice Blackthorn, my daughter. I expect all of you to help her fit in with us, so she'll be able to enjoy her life here." He said some more after that, but I was so stunned that I didn't hear them. I'm now officially Beatrice Blackthorn.

I mostly chatted with Isabell, but I also made small talk with Jackson and Olivia. Olivia has a fun, outgoing and bright personality, while her brother was the complete opposite.

"One time, Jackson spotted his crush going to the amusement park, so he told us he wants to go there instead. Everyone knows that he hates amusement parks, so it was quite entertaining to watch him go on rides. He did... and..."

"There's also this time when we were younger, and we went into a haunted house. He got so scared that he-"

"Okay! That's enough stories for today, isn't it?" Jackson glared at Olivia in a menacing way, daring her to disagree.

"Yep! So are you guys ready for the ball the day after tomorrow? I heard that Prince Aaron is going to be there this time, he is so handsome!" Olivia sighed dreamily.

I gave Isabell a confused look, and she whispered, "She's been having a crush on him ever since she saw him at one of the social gatherings, or parties. If someone brought up his name she'll go to Dreamland for a few minutes."

"Oh. Who's Prince Aaron, by the way?"

"He's the firstborn of the Rostavos family, and he's known for his good looks, but also for his many, many girlfriends." Her mouth turned into a disapproving frown at that.

"I have a feeling that I won't like him." I guess even if we're twins from different worlds, we still have similar thinking process.

"It's okay, you might not even see him during the ball. He's usually surrounded by girls."

For the rest of the evening, I barely said anything. Olivia's rants and gossip were enough to keep Isabell and I entertained, though I don't know many of the people she talked about.
