Try outs

When we gotten to the feild I went to the bathroom to change. In my old softball uniform. I went to the nears dugout to put my cleats on.
I saw nothing but guys coming in the dugout. I gotten up, and bump into a guy.
I looked up and see a smile, I quickly said" I'm sorry, wait you walked me to my class."
He smiled and said" well we gotta stop meeting like this, and hey no problem. "
I walked to myra and told her I bumped into a guy..
Myra " well, coach is the baseball and softball coach.
I looked with confusion but quickly reply " we playing against boys? "
Myra nob her head and laughed.
Coach" okay ladies and guys ! Let the girls run the bases first see who is faster!"
I was last to run, but with coach saying go! I ran! To first to second base hitting every base like it was a game!
I was thinking about sliding but I didn't.

The Coach looked surprised, he replied " wow, thats fast. Okay! We gonna play a little game. girls vs boys!"
The boys smiled and said "we gonna win!!"
I just laughed and I mumbled under my breath. "Not when Im catcher."
Coach heard me and chuckled and said "Louisiana! Your catcher. Suit up."
The boys laughed and said " hope your good."
The pitcher pitched the ball. I caught the ball. I stood up and threw it back. Then walked to her, and asked. "You know how to change it up.?"
She smiled and said "little bit ,but I can try."
I walked back in position and she pitched the ball I threw it to second base.
Coach said " okay! Ready. ! Play ball!!"
We gotten the first two guys out.
The next guy who had to bat, he was tall and good looking with that. Even from the back.
He hit the ball to the out feild. He hit second the girl threw, the ball to second base. he was already at third.
They threw the ball to home plate. I caught the ball. He went to silde, but I already had him out. His foot hit my ankle and I fell on top of him. He wrap his strong arms around me. Once we stop sliding, I said " out." Then we gotten up, and I help him up. He smiled and said " Joseph. Well this time you fell on me." He giggled. I smiled and reply " Nicole " everyone said "ohhhh!!!!"
Coach said " okay, girls. 3 up 3 down!."
After the three girls who hit the ball and gotten to the base. The bases was loaded.
It was my turn to bat. I looked at who was the catcher. I smiled and thought to myself. Hope he likes the view .
The pitcher shaked his head and I looked at the catcher hands in the Corner of my eye. *pitched * *cling* i swong the bat!. The catcher said pop fly!. I ran to first , then to second base. Then I ran to third base. The ball roll in out feild. The left feilder grabbed the ball threw it to third baseman. Coach screamed "home! Home! home! Home!" I was half way to home. I saw the catcher catch the ball. I stopped and turned around running back the third. He had the ball. It was a back and forward game, that I loved. I stop in the middle waiting for someone to make a move. Thrid baseman walk to me, as I just stood there. Then I ran to home plate! I went for a slide. I slide under Joseph as he almost caught the ball. Coach scream "safe!!! Haha now thats how you play."
Joseph helped me up and said "your good, Louisiana. I never had a girl slide under me before."
I dust myself off and said "I'm sure you had alot of girls under you, but thanks."
I looked up and he was smiling really big.
After try outs was over. He walked over to me and ask " you need a ride home." I gotten up and said " that be great."
He smile and ask me where I live. I told him. He smiled and said " i live there too." We walked to his truck. He open the door for me . I gotten in and we pull in the subdivision and I pointed to my house.. he laughed and smiled and said " I live next to you. Maybe I can take you to school in the morning"
I smiled and said " yes, that be nice."
I gotten out of this truck and ran inside. After my shower, had the towel around me. I went to open my window and I looked up and saw Joseph looking at me. I gotten red in the face and grabbed my curtain to cover me up. He smiled and waved and open his window and said " whats your number.." great he sees me in my half naked body and he wants my number.. ughh.
I gave him my number and went to bed.
